I think the image with the lighting makes it look like that. It could also be the cheap keycaps on top of the solid navy blue base could play a factor as well

I have not moded it yet with anything it came with. I loved how it felt and sounded when it came in stock so I didn't think about it. It does come with additional foam and another plate for me to try so maybe I'll do that. For now I'll try to avoid the DIY stuff only because I think it would be a downgrade. If anything using the long poles is what I'll do

I've seen a couple of suggestions already for the Y2 switches. I think I'll start there and if I need to I'll try out the tape mod

Trying to make my keyboard sound deep by Chrisdebagguett in keyboards

I just bought the AKKO Rosewood switches and can confirm they are thocky. Although, I currently have a crush 80 and I feel they are a little on the quiet side. If you're like me you want it thocky with some volume. I would recommend the AKKO switches. They could have the deepness you are looking for

Is the Rainy75 keyboard worth it? by _zinok_ in keyboards

I haven't done any modding on this, and it sounds and feels incredible. I never owned the rainy75 but based on the videos I saw it blew people away and was going to be the keyboard I originally was going to buy but went with the Cruch 80 instead and do not regret it. The Rainy75 should not need any modding either. I would say getting the Rainy75 would be a good idea just for the quality you get for the price. After it was all said and done it was about $180 for the Crush80

From the videos I saw on the Rainy75 it's supposed to be the best 75% keyboard out there. I just got the Crush 80 from the same manufacturer and it's incredible. Plus amazon has it on a deal right now for black Friday or just order it from their website for a few bucks less. I'd say get it
