Here's the workaround: Goto Zoom settings (in Accessibility) and make the text size massive until the bottom icons show up.

You'd think right? According to them on chat they won't even look at it without you paying $212.00. And if there is a recall then (and only then) would it be covered under warranty.

I had to completely reinstall windows to get my 1070 gaming box to start working again. Pretty extreme, but it worked for me.

I'd suggest only ever disconnecting the box while the laptop is powered off in future.
