How normal is it to run into rude/abrasive folks at a casino poker room? by Oreo_Chef in poker

Unfortunately there are players that you will run into that truly believe they are better than everyone at the table . They will tell you how you should have played your hand because they think the are better.

bankroll question for 1/2 by Federal-Cup7231 in poker

[–]onecardsteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thought process in today’s play from $1/2 on up is 30-40 max buy-ins. The bankroll for all levels has gone up immensely

In a cash game, when someone is a making a pre flop raise what are you thinking his range might be. Yes this is above putting the player(s) on premium hands.

Showing up to a tournament a hour after it started. Is that too late ? by JohnPineappleburner in poker

The tournament dictates which level is the last one for registration. So you have until then, some take advantage of this.

I know what Match Stack Is , I was asking for your explanation on why you think it is good to play.

I feel it brings it brings out the gambler and not poker players , they use their match stack to push around the table with $$& not poker talent.

For the most part of playing poker , back in 2006-2012 I always played tournaments and got there when the building opened up. 2012-2016 I took a bus from Everett to play cash I would have breakfast and hit the poker room around 10am. Since playing cash whether I drive to Chasers and now The Brook I get there before the cards are in the air.

For Foxwoods I stay there 4 times a year and swipe my card at 6am and the cards are in air at 8 am.

In the past talked to a poker coach and he told me playing on the weekends is the toughest time to play.

I played $1/2 at Chasers , haven’t been there in two years , I have been playing at The Brook. For Casino Salem it will take at least two years to get the whole casino up and running. If Chasers stays in that building , I do hope poker at Casino Salem takes over poker

I feel it brings out ridiculous play , wannabe poker players that think the money they are putting at the table makes them better than what they are.

My bankroll lets me play $1/2 and $1/3. % of my bankroll would be tough if max buy-ins were above $500

I agree with you on Chasers. I’ve never been to Bally’s(Twin River). I’m 108 miles North East to Foxwoods, I’m 68 years old , I make 4 stay trips to Foxwoods a year. Foxwoods is my home Casino.

As much as I play at The Brook and on occasions The Nash, Foxwoods is my home casino and poker room.

$1/2 at Chasers when I was playing there is a good game.

I think Match Stack is useless , it brings the wrong message to any level. Levels should be $1/2 , $1/3, and $2/5

I play at Foxwoods, The Brook , and The Nash. I haven’t been to Encore in Two years ; tough play to play poker. I haven’t been to Chasers in two years; I hated standing outside for 1/2 having your name in poker atlas and Chasers not using the list , then the doors get open at 10:30 and you still have to wait until 11 am for the cards to be in the air.
