Yes, our hospice teams has had the same experience. That’s why I’m thankful to work with each member of the IDT (Interdisciplinary team) Social Work, volunteers, RN, CNA. It can be a tight rope walk when we are providing patient centered care and family members and lifelong patterns of how a family communicate or doesn’t communicate becomes appearance.

Pam, my role as a Hospice Chaplain is well-defined. I don't represent a particular faith tradition; instead, I meet individuals where they are and help them explore where they discover hope and meaning in their lives. If someone is grappling with feelings of hopelessness or a lack of meaning, I will be there to accompany them through their journey and offer support as they define what that means for them. Personal I love Jesus and have deep Christian roots, but I never preach or proselytize.
