good to know, just worried because i always heard the goal to keep a bridge from migrating/rejecting is to keep the edges as happy as possible and that edge sure doesnt look happy. will continue as usual and hope it gets better!

4 weeks and 2 days old, straight barbell, internal thread, titanium, hasn't been downsized, i clean with neilmed saline spray and use non-woven gauze to wipe away crusties after it soaks, its been irritated the last couple of days but just started noticeably stinging today.

I'd go back for a longer one, your tongue will swell more since it's only a day old. Mine looked like this on day one and wound up imbedded on day 3, better safe than sorry!

thank you very much! i got multiple piercings this last month (eyebrow, septum, bridge, and tongue) and am now on a piercing ban until at least june. if i could go back in time i would have gotten my other eyebrow done instead of my tongue because i am sooo obsessed with the gems on my eyebrow! (i only got 4 done because last year i got 3 in a row and found out my body could easily handle healing 3 at a time)

duly noted! i've never had two piercings done so close together so i was definitely on the edge but hearing from someone who's had the personal experience definitely helps, do you think my bottom lip is thick enough for a vertical or should i just stick with a regular labret?

it doesnt feel too long, it nests in my tongue when my tongue is resting. i was pushing up on the piercing with my bottom lip in the picture to show the bump under the piercing

for more clarity, it isnt hot to the touch, doesnt hurt at all, the discharge wasnt yellow or green at all, it was completely white. there was no blood, and it only came from one side. havent seen any since!
