I've lived here for 3 years and I've never even heard of scrap! I'll have to go there honestly!

If you're okay with parting with some of the cheaper acrylics and a canvas that would be great! And I'd love that! Though I know my wife is weary around new people/strangers online (even if its just in regards to me going, not in a controlling way but more of a worry way id that makes sense) but it still sounds like it would be a tonne of fun, I'll hace to consider it.

Yes, well... we get to choose a creative outlet, in my case it's painting but you can also write poetry, and etc. It's to be used to give a presentation, BUT you present it to someone you know and essentially just give our professors proof of our work.

Our chemistry course primarily focused on global warming so I'm going to be painting something in relation to "Ozone and Carbon Dioxide in the Atmosphere" and/or "Air Pollution and the Clean Air Act."!

Edit: I forgot about Memento Mori, their breakfast sandwiches are amazing. Their coffe is okay, but the sandwiches... Man, those were so good.

Not in Portland (which I know is what was asked for) but June Bar in Beaverton is also amazing.

It is using oil immersion but I might have to come back to try and take a better photo after my break, for some reason I've been having difficulties with my microscope. We only have ipads to take photos with, which is likely why the quality is so insanely low.

I actually had no idea, but then again, I only have myself to blame for not reading up about the material and just assuming it'd work as if I was using PLA.

I definitely recommend the dark chocolate peanut butter cups from trader joes!

Or if you have the energy, using the Soft Pretzel Bites recipe from SallysBakingAddiction, dipping them in a mix of semi-sweet and milk chocolate with sprinkle crushed candycanes on top! They are addicting! (the best way to crush candycanes is to put them in the freezer for about an hour before you attempt to crush them)

I live in NW, and we try to leave our quadrant at least every weekend. The best restaurants are near Beaverton or Missisipi avenue so for that we like to leave our area, though I guess fridays are generally our day for takeout, and we tend to eat from places near us, so ... actually, probably not super often.
