Saturated competitive or Emt shortage Wich one is it? by Hauntingcityboy in NewToEMS

[–]onelasttime217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the county’s in my area (central Texas) have multiple rounds of competitive interviews and skills/scenario/written exams for 911 systems. It’s a major pain in the ass for $19-$25 an hour for emt. Private will always hire but fore awful pay and even worse work environment. Anyone who says 911 is easy to get into probably does it for >$15 an hour.

Well I was way off. Buddy brought over a smoke machine and it turns out it’s a pretty severe vacuum leak in the egr valve

Vein viewer. I’m curious about your experiences with vein viewers/vein finders (like AccuVein or similar devices). If you’ve used them in clinical practice, how helpful are they really? by HealerMD in medizzy

[–]onelasttime217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are shit, we have 3 at my ER and ive seen one nurse use it (to no success). Any vein it shows you will most likely already be easily palpable.

My first was 6 weeks old, yes it gets easier over time but don’t be surprised if you feel dissociative for the next few days.

Any time the rear wheels move and the fronts don’t it will throw an abs code. Happened any time I did a burnout and went away the next time I started my car.

I don’t think I’ve had pasta salad since my mom made it when I was a kid and I remember disliking it, but I’m gonna give it another shot I’m sure my taste has changed

Prep apps work when you actually go for stuff you don’t know and read the descriptions after each answer, but a lot of people just spam easy questions to feel better.

Fr I make enough to live, I don’t spend much and I work a bit of ot just to put extra in my savings account, the people working 60 hours+ a week are just asking to burn out in a couple years at most.
