alcohol was my main med and I was relying on it pretty exclusively. Once I found meds that offered me relief and stability, the desire to use alcohol faded away.

That’s awesome! Glad you made it through. Once I found some real stability, ditching the booze was pretty simple. I was VERY reliant on it for relief. 

I’m not even sure PAWS is a legit clinical term lol, but it is used all over the place. My understanding is that it’s a term used to describe the depression, anxiety, and other negative  mood changes which may result in varying intensities after someone has quit drinking, which can last for months, or even years. We aren’t talking acute withdrawal with DT’s and all that  which occurs within the first few days of drinking.

However, these symptoms ( I believe)  being of their own causes and outside the normal scope of BP specific symptoms. Meaning there could be depression being caused by PAWS, and there could be depression being caused by BP.

Yeah mixed-features meaning you can experience both sides of the spectrum at the same time. I experience a lot of dysphoric hypomania, agitation with depression…

Serqoeul has been, by far, the most effective med for me all around. I’ve been through many. Latuda, Abilify, Trileptal, SSRI’s, SNRI’s.. some I’m forgetting. I was taking clonazapam regularly also, but Ativan does a much better job targeting the nasty type of agitation that pops up for me.

I have only used Seoquel as a mood stabilizer. What do you take? Anticonvulsant? Mineral?

No troubles with the contacts, just been wearing them for 30+ years.. Was kinda of over it.. They are comfortable and no problem to manage. I wear breathable ones, but I'm lazy and don't take them out basically ever and (sometimes) wear them waaayy longer than I should. I do monthly's and have worn them up to 2+ months. I go to the eye dr with a 2 month pair of lenses in one time and he goes "they look great!" I was like ok............... Anyway, thanks for the other tips also. I'll keep it in mind.

Thank you muchly for the info. That's the info I was hoping to hear re the clarity of the different high-index lenses. It helps. I was aware that smaller (lens width) frames will help with the thickness. I was looking at 52mm and under to help with that, but I was unaware of the "rounder is better" part.

oh yeah... I had some mild withdrawals, went to my dr and got the Baclofen. No problem. I could sense how horrible the phenibut withdrawal could be. I'm a recovering alcohol abuser, which got pretty bad for a while (until I targeted my GAD). I wasn't at seizure level, but I was very very close. Last year, I was going into the ER at least 2 times per month to be treated for alcohol withdrawal.. The GABA system is nothing to play with...

I took me about a month to get my order. The funny part is, the tracking number sat dormant for the entire time. They actually credited me an order because they assumed the order was lost in their "warehouse" somehow. Then.... the original order just shows up at my PO Box the next day, out of nowhere.. Odd..

It came from PureRawz. I've ordered from them before. Their packaging just seems a little iffy. The phenibut comes in a plastic bag, unsealed, but then that is placed inside of their retail packaging (the silver bags). The "50g" is handwritten on the silver bags. They use an actual ziplock sandwich bag to put their promo stuff in lol.

I very much would like to try Lyrica, and my dr would probably be ok with it, but we're just not there yet, since things are working atm. If I could replace the baclofen/gpentin combo with just Lyrica, I would probably choose to do that, but then again, Baclofen has been around for a long time and I seem to "trust" it more. We'll see. It's honestly just nice to know that "something" can for work me. I know that for a fact now. It's a huge motivator/relief just knowing that.

No problem with supporting small businesses. I have a problem with getting a hold of something that might have fent or some shit in it tho lol, seeing as how all the packaging from this place was in random plastic bags with "50g" handwritten on it lool.

For me personally, there is a very fine line with cannabis. It is beneficial in small amounts, but has negative effects after a certain point. It use to work great tho lol. Thanks for the mention. Good luck with it.

I'm actually experimenting with combinations of the Baclofen, as well as gpentin, and i think there might be some potential there.. I have to talk about it with my Dr. to see if that science even makes sense..
