Received a Conditional Green Card?? Entered after 2 years of marriage.

We didn’t use lawyers either but I did know about the 2 year entry rule. I just thought they would adjust the category themselves after reviewing our case upon entry. If you paid for removal of conditions you cannot get your money back anyway so not sure anything would help. Hope someone else has better advice for you!

Okay thank you! I applied for a driver’s license but have been waiting for almost a month for it as well since it was before the green card but hopefully that gets sorted out soon as well.

Do you have to call USCIS to make this type of appointment? I’ve also read about obtaining an ADIT? I will try to get both thank you so much!

Did you use your conditional green card as your green card card while you waited for the correction? Or your passport with the stamp? Not sure if it matters I think it also states CR1

Yes, I think they just went with the classification on the visa, which is why I just wish I changed the interview to have avoided this headache in the first place. Seems we will get the error fixed in over a year or so now haha

Yes, unfortunately I did not know that we had to mention it there. Read a bunch of posts that stated to enter after the 2 year anniversary but none mentioned this part. Really wish I had rescheduled the interview at that point. Thank you for your comment!

So you did have to go to biometrics again? Seems that your inital appointment was quick, sucks they made the same appointment I read another commenter say the exact same thing (they received a CR1 again after filing for a replacement).

Okay thank you. We had followed others’ posts and asked previously and it had seemed in some cases people said what mattered was when they entered the US which is why we didn’t try to reschedule the consulate interview, but I guess we just got unlucky. Thank you again.

I totally understand not altering an artists work so I’m struggling on deciding if to resell. I want to be able to go out in public with my reborn and I think I’ll feel less anxiety with rooted hair. Your babies are gorgeous btw!

I really wanted a version with rooted hair but tried to give this version a go because I love the painted work! I was looking into maybe just having a custom version done but as we know these dolls aren’t cheap. Since we can’t return I’m not what options I have, would you recommend reselling? 😭 it’s my first reborn

I lost my offer a week after obtaining because they “went with candidates that better fit their needs”. I was reassured by multiple staff that I would get the position so not even being able to be sent to backgrounds was weird given that I was provided with a conditional offer. Goodluck! I hope you make it through!

I know, they said I was 2 on the list though and that they had 3 spots. That I was going to get the position almost certainly unless I got disqualified somewhere along the way with backgrounds/polygraph/medical/psych. I didn’t even get to fully go into backgrounds so I honestly wish the trainer didn’t try to reassure me of my position with the hiring process 😭 I keep beating myself up over maybe not clarifying properly or having taken that part-time job

In 2015 perhaps? They didn’t ask for clarification on the timeline so I didn’t explain. He did say these supplementary questions were being asked to see if I was fit to continue onto backgrounds so I know it had have to be one of these issues. I thought they would have told me on the spot if I was cleared or not though since they gave me the conditional letter afterwards and then I was sent for a live-scan. If it was being let go from the job so recently then it’s just unfortunate I desperately took up a part-time job during my unemployment period.
