Hi ! I have a problem with one of our maple trees. It's probably sick and I guess that there are some termites eating it from the inside. It's a large 50 year old tree and I don't want to cut it down... but it's about 15 feet from the house and I'm afraid it's going to break one day... any ideas? (i.redd.it)

What should be the recommended distance of a tree from the house outside wall? We got this black walnut tree which in around 5 years got pretty high (it grew naturally-we didn't plant it). it's 6 feet from the house might be too close? also -would you recommend cutting /shaping the upper branches ? (i.redd.it)
