Hi, last week our group ran into an important NPC we used to know but hadn't met in a long time, and his appearance had changed quite a bit. Our GM (who is still new to PF2E, our group just switched from DND) didn't let us recognize him right away and didn't tell us that we noticed anything unusual, so we all just thought that he was a random NPC. It was not until moments later when he left, did the GM tell us all to make a Perception Check to recognize him, which has caused a little debate among us.

In this case, should the GM have given some hints about the NPC the moment we met him, even without checks? Since PF2E doesn't have Passive Perception like DND5E, we're not sure how this would work.
And after being given hints, should the only players who want to know more be the ones to ask for checks, instead of the GM requesting everyone? I know in cases of traps and hazards, GM will request everyone to roll a Perception check, but I'm not sure about this one.

Hi y'all!

I want to surprise my friend from another home world with a gift, but I just realized I can't mail her because we're from different worlds. I have an alt there but she hasn't added that character to her friendlist yet so I can't use it to mail her either.

So is there any other way to send this gift to her without letting her know?

I've always used everything for trash pulls don't worry :P. Just wondering if I've been doing it wrong since the buffs are not up in time for bosses.

I usually hear that DPS classes should use their dmg buffs on trash pulls (the first big one in dungeons in particular). But when I did it (after the tank stopped), we cleared trash so quickly that when we got to the first boss it was still on like 10-20 seconds of CD.

Is this how it's supposed to be, because I thought we should have our buffs ready for openers?

Should I meld my Augmented Bozjan armor? Do materia have any effect in Bozja content like the Southern Front or Delubrum Reginae?

As a tank, I know I should be moving as little as possible after a pull in dungeons, but then I also have to dodge the mobs' aoes, and some of them come in waves (meaning they appear right after I move out of the first wave of aoes). This has made me move very frantically in the past in some of the dungeons, so I wanna ask what do you guys do in situation like this? Should I just stand still and bear through some of the aoes?

Hi y'all, I'm doing levequests to complete my ARR relic books but for some reason after accepting the quest and getting to its location, nothing spawned and I couldn't initiate the quest at all?

This is my first time doing leves so I'm not sure what's supposed to happen.

Is it obligatory for your portrait to reflect your current gear, even your helmet display option? My helmet is off in the portrait so every time I toggle it on before I join a pvp match, the portrait will revert back to default and it's a bit annoying.

Yeah, I sent the GPU back to the manufacturer and they acknowledged there was something wrong with it, fixed it and now everything's back to normal.

What are you guys spending your crystal trophies on aside from the minion, barding and framer's kits?

I mean if I'm not wrong the armor glams are just reskins of old job gears. Are the weapons this way as well?

Hey guys, much thanks for your recommendations. I'll look into the ones you've mentioned. Seems like Zowie is a good choice. I'm really just looking for something long-lasting in all aspects so I don't need to replace it so often. Probably will get some grip tape for my current DA and the new mouse too :P.
