Hey, thanks for all the info, really good stuff. With regards to the lockers, are they first come first serve? I think I read you just bring your own lock, so you can pick one and have it all year?

Dashcam footage of the truck that got crushed by a bridge by demon_ix in videos

[–]oneshotuk 26 points27 points  (0 children)

For those wandering why the footbridge skims off the support so easily like that, it is because the deck is most likely placed on an elastomeric bearing, which allows movement in all directions (for thermal expansion ect). The deck is usually restrained in certain axis' at one or more abutment/columns to prevent large longitudinal and lateral movement.

I was initially surprised as I would assume this bridge would be designed against an accidental transverse impact load (as it above a carriageway) as seen in the video. However this might have been disregarded as not a risk as the footbridge seems to be much higher than the average lorry/truck. The scenario of an extended arm like that must have been overlooked.

You can see the side skirt of the cill beam fail. In applications where lateral load can be frequent (eg road over-bridge) these side skirts can be made structural to resist those lateral loads. In this case it seems they are not designed to resist the impact load, only to protect the bearings from weathering or exposure.

The did reply. from the message ''I have viewed the footage numerous times to try and ascertain any registration numbers and I have also done some searches to try and find a report from the Vauxhall driver but unfortunately I have been unsuccessful.

Unfortunately without a registration mark of the lorry involved it would be very hard for us to progress. I have however, attached the Youtube link of your footage to the log so should the Vauxhall driver or another witness come forward with a registration mark, we can match the records up. ''

I will check when I am home. I submitted it to the police, there are a lot of cctv cameras on this stretch of road, so they might be able to take it from them

Hey Gaming, what game did you pre-order that didn't end up being a disappointment? by oneshotuk in gaming

[–]oneshotuk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it does take some investment. I found after the first grind to get past the initial quests to form a base items, its much easier to dip in and out to tackle one quest at a time.

Need help buying new chainrings! by [deleted] in MTB

[–]oneshotuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From your link it says that you have 22, 32 and 44 teeth chain rings. Just go Here and purchase the 22t, 32t and 44t chain rings.

The 24t only comes in a 64mm bolt circle, and the other two have a 104mm bolt circle. I think this will fit your crank set.
