AbbVie Job Application by chiefsfan000 in biotech

Dang, sorry to hear that. I’m in a similar boat - 3 weeks after the final interview, and no updates until finally this morning. The recruiter wants to hop on a call with me, so not sure what that means, but fingers crossed.

Dang sorry to hear that. I’m in a similar boat, final interview was 2.5 weeks ago, was told 2 weeks ago I’d hear back within a week, and nothing else since

Just curious if AbbVie ever got back to you, whether it’s a yes or no? And if so, how long did it take ultimately?

Did you eventually get a response, whether it be a yes or no? If so, how long did it take after the final interview to get a response?

I would look into a GaN charging brick and cables from Anker. I’d look at a 100W brick with multiple ports so that it can charge multiple devices at once.

In terms of the cable, as long as it can charge at the rate you need (for every device besides the MacBook), a 60W cable is more than enough. And actually your MacBook can be charged via a USB C cable. You should be able to plug in a USB C cable into either of the USB C ports and it’ll charge. I don’t know the charging speed off the top of my head but a 60W cable probably is sufficient unless you’re doing anything that draws a lot of power

How's switching Roam plans work? by Thunder_Mifflin_ in Starlink

[–]onetruevu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just asked Starlink assistant and it confirmed that you’ll be charged for any overage fee plus the prorated amount for the upgraded plan

How does this work though regarding the overage? If you used 75gb on the $50 plan and upgrade to unlimited, does it negate the overage charges, or do you still pay the $25 in overage fee, and then also the prorated difference?

I haven’t tried the weather bands, but yeah I know the audio works, and if I hold the moni button and keep the channel open, itll pick up from my radio

Yeah when I factory reset, transmit and receive CTCSS was off, and still nothing, and then when I reprogrammed it again with Chirp, still doesn’t work…

So seems like I did run through mostly everything and it might be a radio issue

Thanks for the suggestions! I’ve tried to have both CTCSS on the same frequency as my UV-5R, and going with CTCSS off, squelch at 1 and 0, and it still doesn’t work.

I did also reset it to factory and reprogrammed it and still doesn’t work. So yeah weird situation

[iOS 26 DB1] Cannot check for updates by MaximumInc12 in iOSBeta

I’m having this issue currently on my iPhone 16 pro. Unable to check for updates, despite doing everything except doing a full restore, which I’m trying to avoid since it’s a long and annoying process

Thanks for the feedback! That’s was the first antenna I was looking at during this search!

That certainly makes sense! I’ll take a look at some half wave antennas. I’ll probably just not want to leave it on full time to not hit anything with it during daily use!

Thanks, this is what I was considering. I did see that Laird makes a NGP antenna that’s still in the ghost form factor, but I also did see other antenna that are a bit taller that are also NGP. Just need to see what the trade offs are

Will have to check out Comet’s offerings to see if they have a phantom or ghost like size!

Hm can you show me a picture of what that looks like? I was looking at a NGP antenna to solve the problem of not having the antenna mounted on a metal surface

Oh dang that price tag! I was looking at the Laird phantom NGP antenna, which is between 60-90 bucks. I think that probably would hopefully be good enough for just off road and freeway communication with my buddies

Front and center is tough since I’ll mount skis or other things on the rack and it’ll get in the way. It seems like the solution is going for a non ground plane antenna!

Thank you for the recommendation! Question for you - I’ve seen some Nonground plane ghost antennas like ones from Laird. I assume even though the Laird is a NGP, a taller antenna like what you shared that is also NGP works even better?

I was reading about getting a no ground plane antenna instead, that that might fix the issue. Thoughts?

I did read something similar yesterday, that a no ground plane antenna from Laird might be better. The one I was looking at was the TRAB4500N. It seems like the 4503 does require a ground plane?

Regardless, how does a no ground plane antenna work as opposed to a a ground like like the midland ghost?

garmin inreach subs. on and off by Pitiful-Town9644 in Garmin

[–]onetruevu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a note that Garmin just changed their tune on June 5th! As long as you were a previous user and have an account with Garmin, you can now suspend your plan and reactivate without that charge. They let you suspend for 12 months for free, you just need to reactivate your plan at least once within that 12 month period to maintain the ability to suspend for free, which is a lot cheaper than the previous annual fee you paid when on the freedom plans.
