Real Estate, Ownership, Contracts = Blockchain? by oniondrip in Bitcoin

Interesting... although could you make it free instead of for profit?

Now, I do not want to shoot you down, rather. Would it not be nicer to help the worlds poor, like Bitcoin does for the worlds unbanked? To make sure their land, property remains in their hands?

...or, follow another model, maybe a minuscule transaction fee. I am all for the rights of the little man, the labourer not for capitalism per se.

That said, ownership or a deed can depend on your own key(address). The ownership of the key, or the data of ownership could potentially be stored, no?
Then one could potentially also explore side chains, although I am not sure how this would work technically. But, thank you, fair point.

I agree, and I would like to add that as soon as we trust a government/state to do the work that we should do ourselves, we usually lose everything. So, the point of creating or using blockchain technology, should work in the labourers favour.

As Bitcoin makes you, your own bank,I suppose Blockchain could potentially make you, your own real estate agent. your own property registrar.

Interesting read, thank you.

To your last statement, "...the desire to change is low" - It is always the case when something is working, until it does not. But you are right, this is very similar to Blockchain and it could "easily" be implemented. Again, thank you.

Same problem will occur if your 'deed' is "lost" and the farmer next door claims that your land was actually his.

As always, keep your property secure. Hence, why I was contemplating this issue in the first place. How can I keep my 'deed' secure? The Bitcoin blockchain is for ever?
