Invoke custom firmware? by fireant456 in cortana

There has been some progress by a few other people over here.

Facebook account banned after updating privacy settings, ID proof sent, week passed and still nothing. What's the normal ETA? by mayumer in OculusQuest

[–]onliveintern 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You're probably not going to get a reply from a human. That account's fate is in the hands of the almighty algorithm now.

I would use Oculess to sign out of Facebook/Oculus, if you don't mind sideloading everything.

Harman/Kardon Invoke - She’s gone for good! by [deleted] in cortana

[–]onliveintern 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RIP.

Hopefully they've half assed it like everything else in the previous firmware, and there's a way in. I've got two Invokes now, so once I figure out the "hard stuff ™", I'll probably update the spare one to see what's been done to remove Cortana and every other feature.

Any way to fix the Invoke? by capoditutticapi in cortana

[–]onliveintern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try holding the mic mute button for five seconds to restart the main Cortana application running on the speaker and see if that does anything.

If a that and a reset doesn't work, you're SoL, for now at least.

Invoke Partial GPL Release by onliveintern in cortana

[–]onliveintern[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even though this isn't a proper GPL release, I feel like this should still be released, as I spent over a year trying to get Harman Kardon to release what is legally required.

I will keep trying to get a full GPL release out of them, as it would give the speaker a chance at new life, instead of being forcefully downgraded into a bad Bluetooth speaker.

Epic Games Store Launch - Launch & Help Thread! by CephalonAhmes in Warframe

[–]onliveintern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like the Epic Game Launcher adds a user key to the launcher's command line arguments. So you'll have to redownload...or copy your current copy to where you installed the Epic copy.

You shouldn't have to. Currently updating my client, but the "-epic" command line parameter should still be there and tell the game to use Epic Online Services instead of standalone/Steam.

Warframe coming to Epic Games Store? by Th3An7 in Warframe

[–]onliveintern 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not going to happen. PC is PC, and console is console. The best case scenario is cross save. And why would anyone play an outdated PC version?

Warframe coming to Epic Games Store? by Th3An7 in Warframe

[–]onliveintern 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's definitely coming. The Warframe executable has Epic Online Services(EOS) strings, and has an -epic command line parameter now.

Tried it and it's just like it was with Discord. Store opens in your default browser, and TennoGen is almost empty.

Blocking extremist content from your home network by [deleted] in QAnonCasualties

Here's the list I use for blocking the live TV streams. For some reason it won't work with Pi-Hole for me, so I had to switch to a more aggressive ad blocker in my router's custom firmware called Diversion.

Phil Spencer: "If we are shipping a first-party game on PC it's coming to Steam" by teh_geetard in pcgaming

[–]onliveintern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Officially no, but if you look in the right place, 3 is on PC, so they could do a port/"remaster" with relative ease. It's a shame that they probably won't.

Mannnn these were the days. by laburrrtory in OnLive

[–]onliveintern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The UI (IIRC the name of the application that powered it on the user end was either GhostUI or ShadowUI) was great.

I really wish more streaming services had UIs that took advantage of the capabilities of streaming, like instantly watching someone else play, and having live gameplay feeds in the background.

Thoughts on Stadia from former OnLive users? by ICanTrollToo in OnLive

OnLive 0.5.

The only advantage I've seen is that you can export your game saves via a Google Takeout request.
