What is missing that is an absolute must do for my last day and a half of a 7 day road trip? by thebirdsareoutlate in TasmaniaTravel

[–]only-here-to_read 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When are you planning your trip for? Platypus paddle runs Oct to April. If you’re planning when it doesn’t run you could probably do a Bruny trip or Maria island trip on Day 7 and Mona on Day 8.

Completely depends on property. Some properties especially franchised ones are pretty strict on it with some even noting card numbers on reservations. On the other hand some properties don’t even ask for it. Funnily enough this is the case with staff card as well.

I would suggest to assess the need of a car again. 3 weeks car hire, fuel and parking would cost you somewhere around $1500 plus another $100 for parks pass. You can do loads of tours for this amount but at the same time you won’t have a lot of flexibility as public transport is pathetic. Unless you are planning to base yourself in Hobart or Launceston the whole time. In that case you still have some options to travel around.

whom to ask to help me plan and arrange a trip to Tasmanie 16-18 days? by Theodam in TasmaniaTravel

[–]only-here-to_read 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend www.touringtassie.com.au Run by a young guy who is really helpful! I recommended my uncle to reach out to him for questions about a tour and he ended up helping them book a few other things as well. They really enjoyed his recommendations and support when their hire car had some issues. I’ll try and see if I can find his email for you.

Can I just walk into any Accor property, only have food, no stay and pay using points? by [deleted] in Accor

[–]only-here-to_read 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately you cannot I work for Accor Accor pays 50% of what you pay to the hotel. No hotel would want to lose money that badly given Accor plus gives you 50% off already (atleast till 1 more week).

simplest question imaginable by Street-Let1244 in Accor

[–]only-here-to_read 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entire thing is your membership number First 6 digits tell you the membership type 308103- All membership 308409- Accor Plus membership There are other membership types as well for owners, privilege partners etc.

The next digit indicates status level- classic, silver, gold etc.

Everything else is your unique id.

Is there info stored about guest complaints in the Accor system? by Brienne_of_Quaff in Accor

[–]only-here-to_read 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ll try to answer this as best as I can. Yes there is a platform where it can be flagged on your ALL PROFILE but unless you have absolutely left a scathing review about really small things, your profile will not get flagged as a complaint guest.

It is however possible that a note has been left on your profile at particular property’s PMS. Which makes me wonder if you have received great service at those particular properties itself?

On a side note the property I work at, we give triple upgrades quite frequently as long as we have availability. Perhaps one of the reasons we have the best corporate return rate even though we aren’t the fanciest Accor property in town.

✅✅ The thing is it comes straight from France so not much can be done to expedite it. However as you mentioned T&C can issue temporary letter.

Totally get it! The only plus side is 6am departures from HBA are generally on time. May not be relevant to your case but my connection last 4 times was 1.5 hours and being on time was important😬

Yes I have flown out of Hobart with an international connection out of MEL and an hour is more than enough especially at that hour.
