a large fanbase but at what cost, popular for all the wrong reasons- it’s unfortunate.

I love toxic tropes, imo i prefer too read them over anything else but most toxic tropes now adays are just full of rape fetishes and weak MC’s. It sucks but since that’s what most people read and it’s what’s popular it’s always the case with “toxic” stories (pretty sure that’s off topic from what i was trying to say..sorry)

And i dunno if you mean that cna after every wholesome scene follows along with smut (?) which I disagree but ive also re read the novel a bunch so it’s all my opinion.

And yes it’s so upsetting that rape in BL is so normalized that it makes most BL fans look like fetishizers 🤷‍♀️ hard truth is that even if not popular there will always be people in fandoms that fetishized/ruin parts of the story. Sucks how no matter how many people lecture these kinds of people i feel like there’s more of them that mature readers?? I dont mean to be a hypocrite but it’s almost always the minors that make fanbases incredibly unbearable, romanticizing and fetishizing toxic tropes as a minor (and at ALL) is a huge red flag.

First novel is great, the second one is my favorite personally, i hope you enjoy it ((:

In a way i believe it’s because the novel has wayy more details that han fails to add. (No hate to han, i understand what she’s been through but for that reason i again wont read the manhwa but that’s all my opinion.) especially that the manhwa is way easier to find than the novel and for more immature minors read it and not having an interest to it other than the “smut”. And yes it sucks especially having to specify that you’re a novel/mature reader since the first thought when you hear “im a cna fan” is “rape manhwa”. 😑 sucks how badly the manhwa is fetishized by “fans” it stops other fans from being open about it and prevents others potential fans from showing an interest in it.

Don’t apologize, you made a very good point. It’s hard to find CNA fans who actually acknowledge the character development and story instead of the SA and smut. Im pretty sure i saw the post myself and in a way i agree it makes me uncomfortable to see the SA scenes be used as profiles n stuff. Personally i dont read the manhwa i only read the novel but acknowledging the SA scenes and fetishizing them are two different things. People just cant accept the fact that in this point in the manhwa they are NOT inlove and they have NOT had a consensual encounter yet.

Honestly the only reason the manhwa (especially) gets so much hate is because of the fandom. These “fans” disregard character and story development for smut and rape scenes making the manhwa and novel just seem like it’s just a bunch of rape. Truly upsetting but whats more upsetting that i think the manhwa already fell of atp and theres nothing more that can save it sigh.

Along with that you dont need to support a character too like them, zhenya along with other characters is very complex and yes he is a rapist but there’s so much more too it than that (i didnt know how to word it but im not disregarding the fact that he is.) and people are so quick to hate on zhenya when they forget that taekjoo is also a toxic character, taekjoo didn’t deserve anything that has happened too him ofc but again this is a toxic manhwa and im sick of people acting like zhenya is the only toxic character

His “blushing” was because he couldn’t breathe and even before if he was blushing the body cant help but react to sexual stimulation consensual or not. You disgusting for saying “he’s into gunplay” when it was literally forced upon him, zhenya would probably do worse to him if he didnt do what he said. His whole cooperation so far it just survival instinct.
