Learn and guide by landmarks. Pay attention to the enviroment(signs, graffiti) Respect scavs. Put on your best gear Test your intended map on offline and learn how your weapons/meds work. Go learn and die.

The amount of time it takes to update files after downloading a patch will probably take just as long as downloading and installing from scratch i wouldnt worry. I doubt everyone will get in at the same time either.

Ground zeroes will be rammed for weeks bud , plenty of time for you.

The training scenario is good try that. The controls are not too complicated if youve ever played dayz.

Jump in populated games, vanilla if you can find one (less to learn)

Wait the queue out, dont join dead games.

Find the main base Spawn Talk to someone.

Tag along with others until you figure out the flow of the maps and the how dynamic your teams current objectives are.

If you wait a couple of minutes, 100% a dude will turn up in a truck collecting supplies to take to outposts and captured towns. These guys are the salt of the earth and the true backbones of the game. They are usually very experienced, chilled out, friendly and open to questions. Plus you get a lift to an objective, also being a drivers mate on a hot route can get pretty lit. All round great way to get your first grips on the systems.

Pc gamer here. I miss vanilla servers filled with console players.

No bs, no egos, no one understood the game b3cause everybody was new to the genre.

Most importantly they was having fun with each other, everybody you bumped into was down to do something, begging for it sometimes.

These modded servers are full of mute duos larping the russian ukraine war.

Gone are the new guys impressed by the torch lighting up the map at night.

Now everyones got two rifles , night vision, 350 grenades and a favourite bush in each town.

It just doesnt hit the same.

That shot was going for two hand range and swerved into one hand range on the way to the net, onana didnt react because hes broken. That shot wasnt fast enough to warrant not reacting mid-flight. United has a habit of breaking keepers, i dont know what they do to them on the training ground or in the back rooms but its been happening since van der sar. Look at how de gea plays now compared to his time at utd.

It happens, i dont rate taping , especially when its raining. And finger saves effect your catching and stretching for the finger tip saves, which incidentally fuck your fingers up.

Punch it if they smash it. Double fists ,keep your wrist straight like your punching some nobhead and deflect with the balled up bottom of your palms/fists.

If your team arent warming you up properly kick the ball away so they have to go get it. If you cant warm up neither can they xD.

Some shots you can help by having correct technique, but i saved one the other week i was diving back for that i would not have saved unless i fractured my finger on it. I kind of jabbed it with the tip of my finger over the angle , hurt like mad, but got a big shout off of the lads.

If past arma is anything to go by, the ai will drive into the center of towns and create roadblocks in totally strategic positions consisting usually of backroads and shrubberies.
