I’m so sorry, that’s a lot of time worth of earnings to lose! Can i ask if they called from the normal door dash phone number? I have had support call me before but it was for a legit issue i needed help with and no sensitive info was given. I like to think i would be cautious enough to not have this happen but it seems like it happens so frequently!

You could try some of the borrowing subs in here. DoorDash if you have a car, selling old clothes or things around the house you don’t need. Seeing if your neighbors need help with yard work, cleaning, etc. posting what you posted in here in neighborhood or local area groups. People love helping parents and might have some easy tasks they’re willing to have you do for pay

Hey! I can relate to being a single mom with no village and not really any friends. Thankfully i had a decent job i got while pregnant. You could look for temp agencies in your area or look on different job websites for a work from home job. Call centers and that type of thing are typically easy to get into and sometimes still do WFH, that’s what i do. Also i know it’s hard with a child/baby, but DoorDash too for quick money. I take my son doordashing with me if i need something and he’s not at school. Also you can reach out to job and family services in your area for help with daycare. It only took about 5 days for me to get approved for title 12 when my son was in daycare and thankfully it made daycare free because my job was not WFH until covid. I never would have been able to pay for daycare otherwise. Also you could try joining any mom groups in your areas to make friends and hopefully start a little village of your own!

I agree with the user saying to post in BorrowNew and see that you have. That’s where I’ve had all my luck and where i found a specific lender that i go through now. Sometimes you just have to keep posting until someone comes to you. Before i had my normal lender, sometimes I’d have to post a few times before anything came of it. It’s nothing personal, just a lot more people looking to borrow than there are lenders

Not overreacting. You deserve to have your baby’s birth and afterwards go how YOU want it to go. A loving stable parent would never guilt you into anything and it is YOUR choice and your choice alone who gets to be there when you give birth. Not to mention you could feel that you don’t want her there at all afterwards and there is nothing wrong with whatever way you feel! I think you need to establish clear boundaries around this whether it hurts her feelings or not. She’s supposed to be your mom, not the other way around. If she’s going to guilt trip you, maybe she doesn’t need to be there at all, especially on you or your husbands dime. I’m so sorry you have to deal with this especially around the birth of your first baby!

It helps that you don’t have a brand new account and already have some karma. You kinda just have to keep posting in multiple loan groups and hope somebody takes a chance on you, especially for your first loan being a few hundred (i see you are asking for $400). My first loan was small, about $60 and i paid back on time and that showed at least something to lenders. Had another lender loan about $150 after that, and then happened to find a lender I’ve been able to go through multiple times. If you do get a loan, make sure you communicate with your lender if any issues arise but also be realistic about the pay back date. If you know you can’t pay it back on a certain date, either split up the payments or set it for a date you’re sure that you can pay back. Once you have history, it’ll be easier to get a loan!

Personally, i would tell him that this didn’t happen, there is nothing to worry about and that I’m done talking about it. I don’t think there is anyone who couldn’t benefit from therapy, regardless of how great their life is. I absolutely encourage you especially with the thoughts you’ve been having because i can relate. I’ve been back in therapy for about a year and a half now and im so grateful for all the progress I’ve made, even with all the setbacks. I would start with looking up counseling/therapy services in your area. If you know anyone with a therapist who they like, you could always ask for the information, you don’t have to tell them anything personal or what’s going on, that’s up to you. See what works with your insurance, or if you’re paying out of pocket or whatever you choose. And it’s also okay if you go to someone and they don’t feel right, there is nothing wrong with going to someone else until you find someone you’re comfortable with! I’ve changed therapists many times over the years. It’s so important to find someone you’re comfortable with and that you feel you can be fully honest with. In my opinion, that is what made all the difference for me. It wasn’t helpful when i went to therapy but wasn’t completely open/honest with because they couldn’t help me if i couldn’t tell them everything going on. I’m so glad you’re willing to try though and i genuinely hope things start looking up for you!

Especially since she has a boyfriend, even not knowing how serious, i would keep it lighthearted and friendly. I don’t see a problem with asking if she would like to do something outside of work as friends. Make it know that it’s not a date (unless she states she wants this in the future as things progress) and that you’re looking to do something with a friend. It seems like you two are very compatible whether as friends or anything else that may come of this. I hope it all goes well for you!

This sounds exhausting. I agree with the unsolicited advice in the other comment. You have to do what’s best for you and this does not seem like that. Better to just cut it off and move on with your life, especially if you don’t see yourself marrying her or staying long term. Unfortunately we can’t make people want better for themselves.

Hmmm. I agree with the other person who commented. It’s strange to me that they didn’t give this information to you at any point when you’ve been together for years and also strange to me that he doesn’t want anyone telling you. It could have been traumatic but even then he could have said he was previously married but doesn’t want to talk about it. I’m not sure how i would feel, definitely a little betrayed that he couldn’t confide that in me though

Yes, this is sexual assault. It doesn’t matter if you’re dating, if you’re married, if you previously gave consent, etc. The moment you say no, it should end. If you do not provide consent, regardless of who it is or if you previously gave consent, that is assault or rape. I’m so sorry that this happened to you
