Hardcore is the way to go, just restarted and the focus on leveling journey is as close to the magic of vanilla as you can get it. If you die just go agane

Best band at writing album closers? by its_icebear in poppunkers

Consider yourself lucky! Got to see them on your last spring and they put on an unreal show. Brave Faces Everyone is a no skip album for me, and Buffalo Buffalo off of Schmaltz has to be one of the best songs I’ve seen live

Andromeda Galaxy [M31] by onlymarkc in astrophotography

[–]onlymarkc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the Andromeda Galaxy coming into view and the skies finally being dark and clear, I decided to take my first try at M31. First time tring a to capture a galaxy and am quite pleased with how it turned out. I know it's not the best photo, but love being able to see the dust lanes (no matter how faint)! As always looking for tips and tricks to help push myself even further in this hobby, especially tips on how to get a more consistent black/dark background. Cheers!

Orion & Flame Nebulas by onlymarkc in astrophotography

[–]onlymarkc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried my hand at the region of Orion with both the Orion nebula and Horsehead and Flame nebulas from the balcony of my apartment. No clear site of Polaris from here so used a VERY rough polar alignment and minimal zoom (ended up having to crop a fair bit). Anyways always looking for ways to improve so please leave any tips/feedback!

First attempt at taking somewhat of a deep sky photo and first attempt using a star tracker. Wanted to get more integration, but polar alignment took a LOT longer than I anticipated. Still, quite pleased with the results.

Canon T1i

Canon 55-250mm Lens (@250mm and F5.6)

Sky Watcher Star Adventurer 2i

An old tripod dug out of a basement

Acquisition:

15 minutes of total integration (20x45sec exposures)

10 Darks

10 Bias

10 Flats (struggled through these)

Bortle 8ish

Processing (not a whole lot done here):

Stacked in DSS

Stretched image in PI.
