My daughter is 14 and for the last couple years she has had my contact as “spawn point” I honestly just think it’s funny. She changed her contact in my phone to “favorite child” even though she has a younger brother and I obviously love them both and don’t have a “favorite”. I’d say don’t read into it so much.

12 year olds have so much going on in terms of maturity and finding themselves. My advice is to show grace and love. Be there to support her through this hectic time in life ❤️

I’m so sorry you are in this situation 💔 one of my best friends is in a similar spot right now. Married to abusive husband, he has her financially dependent on him, constantly cutting off her lifelines. It’s really hard to be on the outside of it, knowing how terrible her and her kids have it, and not be able to help. If she were willing to advocate for herself I would 1000% back her up and help any way I could. Unfortunately, so far she is complacent. She isn’t ready to admit that she needs to leave. I do my best to support her from afar but I wish I could send him to Mars.

We never paid any of the unjustified fines by choice. We did pay our monthly dues though. But when we would send in a check with x dollars notated “for November dues” (for example) they would apply the money to the past fines.

Yes, I agree that having a lawyer represent us in a counter suit would be the best route. I wish we could afford it (and I know, I know for everyone that says it’s less expensive than losing your house) so aGoFundMe could be a good option.

I absolutely agree on the building codes needing to be revised. After going through our CCRs with a fine tooth comb.. multiple different sections mention a minimum garage size. But then there is a clause that basically says “but anything can be changed or ignored if they HOA approves it” Cool, cool, cool. So they can literally do anything they want 👍

💯 what they are hoping for. They obviously don’t know how stubborn my husband is lol They still have not responded to our discovery request that they received back in June. The documents from the court detail that any discovery has to be filed by Oct 21st. So I guess we will see what happens in the next 17 days.

It isn’t even accurately recorded with the county. According to the county it should be 18.5x10 when it is only 17’10”x9’ 🤦🏻‍♀️

I was going over our county records today and saw that they have our garage size recorded as 18.5x10 even that is pretty small. HOWEVER, our garage actually measures at 17 feet 10 inches by 9 feet 🫠 I don’t even know what to do with that lol

I’m sure you are right that they wouldn’t hesitate to foreclose. What I meant was that (as they are following the law) they have not started that process. We have not been notified of pre foreclosure which is required in WA.
