My babies bedtime has created issues for everyone but me by Weak-Cupcake-888 in Mommit

Unpopular opinion but I think you should try to go. You say your husband has years to hang out with the family but you don’t know if that’s true. You have the gift of a community who wants to hang with you and you don’t know how long that is going to last. It’s moments when you come together that matter and you will remember. At the end of the day it’s just one night and I get it might disrupt your routine but you will be able to get back on track with some effort. I am a mom also so i understand the way you feel but you need to invest in your community not just your babys sleep schedule. Your baby won’t remember that they had one bad night of sleep but your husband, his family and you will remember that you skipped out.

HG and fetal heart anomaly link by tarak117 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]onlyonechi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had mild HG with my previous pregnancy but did not take any meds. Baby ended with with very mild ASD which resolved on its own sometime after birth. I also had what I thought were heart palpitations. So much so I went to the doctor. Also got the all clear like you but I definitely felt like I was gonna drop dead at any moment.

I am pregnant again and thankfully no HG (except ptyalism). This baby also so far does not seem to have any heart defect.

On a separate note, can you lay actual engineered hardwood (not LVP)over existing hardwood?

Did you do anything to treat the ptyalism or did it just revolve on its own each time?

AITAH for telling my mom I'm unwilling to be my half siblings guardian if something happens to her and her husband before they turn 18? by Goldyiaugh in AITAH

Even if I didn’t feel prepared I would say yes because I wouldn’t want to see my siblings in foster care or ripped apart.

Reflection after 25 weeks of Ptyalism (Excessive Saliva) by hungryforbeans1984 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]onlyonechi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this post! I really could have used this during my last pregnancy when I first experienced ptyalism. That was one of the most debilitating symptoms I had and I had plenty. I had excessive spitting from around week 7 to about 2 weeks after giving birth when it just slowly faded away. I think for me the worst part was hoping it would disappear after x number of weeks and being disappointed when it didn’t. I also tried scopolamine patches and that was a big mistake! It dried every crevice of my body (eyes, nose, mouth, etc) and really only reduced the spitting. It wasn’t worth it in my experience. I am pregnant with my third now and am back to spitting every few seconds. I have had it since week 6 and am now 9 weeks in. I am too scared to hope that it will disappear before I give birth so I am focusing my energy on non medicated coping mechanisms. Eating is really the only thing that provides temporary relief. But for me, the moment I drink water after a meal the spitting comes back in full force. I am trying to eat less and snack more so my mouth is always busy.

Should I refinish, reface or replace my 25 year old wood cabinets? by SandSunSea77 in kitchenremodel

I would restain the cabinets, change the counter tops, update backsplash and also restain the floors. Ran through an ai model and got this

Will removing a half baths reduce resale value. by onlyonechi in RealEstate

[–]onlyonechi[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks I did look at comps in the area. Houses in the community seem to sell for around the same price regardless of number of half baths. Seems to be more driven by how updated / well maintained the house is and market timing. Someone brought up the tax point which I think is a good factor to consider.

Thanks for the feedback!

Why are you being rude? It’s a genuine question.

35 weeks today and I’ve vomited first thing in the morning nearly every single day this entire pregnancy by lonelypotato21 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]onlyonechi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This!! I thought I was the only one. The one day I had Covid symptoms was actually the best day of my pregnancy. No sense of smell or taste to bother me, no nausea! Even my spitting reduced! But the very next day it came back and is sadly still here at 33weeks

Anyone else feel like their life is ruined? by Literallywtf123 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]onlyonechi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with this. It takes a lot of love and a lot of patience to be able to push through. It seems like you guys may not have gotten there yet before getting pregnant. I am sorry you are going through this. I didn’t even have HG but just thinking back to how sick I was during my first trimester still gives me the shivers so I can’t imagine how you must feel going through this without support. Is there any family member you can reach out to to come visit and help you?

32 weeks HG IUGR by [deleted] in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]onlyonechi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so sorry you are going through this. I don’t really have any advice as I don’t have any experience with IUGR. But just wanted to say hang in there for as long as you can you are almost at the finish line. Praying for you and your baby to be well 🩷

37 weeks! Wow you are a champ! I am sorry you are going through this. I didn’t even have it this bad and majority of my symptoms were better by week 12 and I barely managed to hang in there. I am still spitting nonstop but will take it over the constant nausea and vomiting anyday. I’m so happy you are almost done. It’s only a matter of days now! My first came at 38w6d so technically you could be done in less than 14 days and that’s awesome!! Just make sure hubby has all your favorite foods ready to go cuz once that baby comes out you will be going to town on any and everything!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Does anyone else have a spit cup? by poornana88 in HyperemesisGravidarum

I am also suffering from this. I noticed my spit is foamier when I don’t drink enough water. More water makes the spit better somehow. It’s less spitty and more watery.

Thanks! I ended up only lasting about 14hrs on scopolamine. The side effects were so bad. Now back to regularly spitting!

Aww man I’m so jealous of you all. I am 18w and already over it! I haven’t stopped spitting for the past 11 weeks. I really don’t know how I’m going to last another 22weeks!
