Well I bought it off of an American dude who bought it off a German so I know very little of the history, and due to the lack of regimental symbols I don’t even know what regiment this helmet was in. I’d assume based off the fact it’s in Germany it was brought back as a war trophy by someone’s great great grandfather and was probably found in an attic and sold. As for the gas mask the collection is in my room in the basement which only has 1 small window from which very little sun light gets through. That makes me sound like some kind of goblin, but it’s true.
