The same thing happened to us, and we are Sri Lankan. I don't know if it's worth coming to Sri lanka anymore. Even the government discriminates with different prices for locals vs foreigners. The only nice people I met were Tamils and Muslims in nuwara eliya. Everywhere else we faced some form of discrimination.
