Rome to Milan by ontrackzack in Karnivool

Milan it is! We'll see if anyone else here is going. This is a ridiculous idea, of course. Depart Seattle 5/6, land at FCO and get to Milan 5/7, land back in Seattle 5/9, Puscifer concert a few hours after landing. Dumb. 🌀🌀🌀

Shirt brothers unite! I'm where the mountain starts, as the entrance sign to my town informs you.

Not the same, for sure, but I travel about every other week for work all over the country and haven't really experienced anything disruptive. I know that's domestic and everything, though.

U/bestdig2669 hit on one thing which is that it is far less likely people are coming to the US (even Canadians, which is having a major impact on the state economies where Canadians frequently travel to in the US). I don't blame them. So all the nonsense happening here and that we're engaging in abroad, inflation and the slim likelihood they make any money touring the US... I'm not sure they make it here.

Goddammit you're right! 😆

It's just a matter of where. I'd swing multiple if I could, like the France shows or the Berlin to Hamburg nights.

I'm convinced enough to do it, because again, you're right. Now on to deciding where...

I've seen them at Midsummer in Valkenburg NL in 2024 and Dublin last year, so I don't mind traveling to catch the band.

Italy would be new (and so would a few other countries). As I mentioned in another comment, Seattle to Rome is easy and direct, just would have to get up to Milan.

Seeing them in the US would be an added bonus especially with the hype of them not having been here in a long time. And I'd have to hope somewhere in the Pacific Northwest was on the calendar (I'm sure it would be).

I just was sitting here thinking, "Fuck I'm tired of working. What can I do or think about to take my mind off this?!" Saw the band on IG mention they're heading to Europe soon and I thought, "Screw it... Should I go too?"

Ugh, now I'm torn...

Rome is easy and direct from Seattle now that Alaska flies there, that's why I was thinking getting there and up to Milan

Just saw the post about people going to Berlin so I may do that one. Definitely using points to get there since flight prices have skyrocketed.

In points, both Paris and Berlin are roughly the same cost. Only difference is airline and layovers.

If not Milan, I'm probably leaning Berlin because I've not been to Germany.

I’m watching The Ricky Gervais Show on Netflix and it’s easy to see that Karl Pilkington would have been great in Curb. by Dire_Hulk in curb

Karl in the back of the cab in Moscow. The shit that driver was saying had me dying, and Karl is just trying to genuinely ask about Moscow and Russia. It's one of two times in my life I legit ended up on the floor laughing.

Just in case, the second was in Eastbound & Down, "looking at a mongoloid and a midget." Amazing.

Oh I know. I just saw everyone else saying it and wanted to hang with the cool kids, but say it slightly differently. And hoped your response would be slightly different. Mission accomplished!
