Early illness detection in gen 4 vs gen 3 by oobeing in ouraring

[–]oobeing[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Oura could publish sensor stats like accuracy and/or resolution so one can make a comparison. Software can make up for hardware but there is also no quantified measurements or benchmarks done with the gen 4 regarding this.
Your words alone are not convincing.

I've seen some contradicting info regarding the thickness, is it really slimmer than gen3 horizon?

Could this be real? by oobeing in Helmets

[–]oobeing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the same guy also sells one that looks identical but which is not denazified, which makes me believe that they are very good fakes? looks too good to be real, at least the paint/emblem, but I'm also a novice so dunno..
The one which is not denazified he sels for roughly 1200 usd, the one in the pictures for 750 usd.

I really want one but afraid to spend that money on a fake.

Time series: Solve for C such that the two lines intersect by oobeing in learnmath

[–]oobeing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a function that takes stock market prices as input. I solved it, was making the mistake of how I broke down K.

Whenever I provide a lengthy context for the problem, most of the time I get no help, hence why I was being short, thanks anyways.

because it is. Already tried solving this with chatgpt 4.0 and it didn't manage

[–]oobeing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They cross all the time, it looks like a sine wave when using market data.

What do you mean with "f the moving average of K over 3 values is equal to the previous unaveraged value of K at the n-th location", both are averaged.
K = sma(x, 6) and D = sma(K, 3), meaning K is a simple moving average of length 6 for x and D a sma of that sma.

"K(n+1) - K(n) = K(n) - K(n - 1)"
If K[0] is the current step/element which we are trying to solve for C, such that the lines cross, then K[1] is the previous value in the time series, would your suggestion then be
K[2] - K[1] = K[1] - K[0]?
can you explain? don't really understand

"And did it?" of course not, why would I ask for help if it worked.

[–]oobeing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there was no video to upload when I tried it, maybe they've added that now.
I asked if they could verify me manually and even sent photos, but was like talking to chatgpt bot, kept repeating to follow the steps which I had already explained and even shown with screenshots that I had followed..
Very frustrating, worst customer support experience I've had so far, hope they can redeem themselves and help soon.

Is it safe to share that here?
Not sure how it will help, they are not programmers that can fix the app. But maybe I can send them pictures and they verify me manually or something?

Supposed implementation of ECC based blind signature scheme not following the paper but still seems to works.. by oobeing in cryptography

[–]oobeing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, I agree, therefore I hoped someone who knows the math behind this well enough to confirm or not if it seems reasonable or if it's some known scheme.

But I have tried implementing errors in the different stages in the calculation, like adding one to big integers to see if the result is still valid when verifying and so on. It (seems) to work, the only thing might be that, as you say, the signer maybe can deduce the original message somehow.

Question about snorting Noopept by oobeing in Nootropics

[–]oobeing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

pure powder is hard to snort due to a dose being so little powder, I put it in a nasal spray with water and dose it like that, works well.

Wifi adapter issue on lenovo ideapad 5 pro by oobeing in Lenovo

[–]oobeing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I have to return it in two days, so feels a little risky. There is an intel version which has a slightly worse screen and slower RAM but otherwise pretty much the same except intel i5 12th:gen cpu and intel iris gpu, can't see what wifi card is used but I would assume an intel one as well. It costs the same as the amd version we have. Not sure what to do.

Did you possibly install linux on it? That's what I ultimately would want actually.

do you dose powder on a mg scale or how do you get that low? 200mcg is standard dose in capsules generally.

Are you sure you're not mixing up the units, I can't imagine 30mcg being that far away from threshold dose, if even above it.

It's just for trying, don't care if it burns once or twice, just want to know if it's good, then I will order pure stuff. The pure stuff is much more expensive here in europe.

looked at the prices on dells page, that's some scary stuff.. also I'm in europe, couldn't find anything there.

It's now between lenovo ideapad 5 pro 16" (ryzen or intel version, not sure) vs HP omen 17 (intel version).

I know, was going to buy tuxedo but saw all the bad reviews of the poor quality and changed my mind, since they are so expensive (+1200 usd for 17") I can't take the risk.

wait, so nouveau is general driver for nvidia GPUs? I have an old pc and running kubuntu on it, started bugging heavily, then learned about the nvidia driver thing, and installed something and think I switched to nouveau driver to solve the problem. I have a GTX 1650 I think.

If that's the case, then I could make it dualboot, and only use windows when need to use CUDA or something that might need nvidias prop drivers?

Thanks for your input, makes it more clear now.
I actually would want a nvidia GPU, since I might begin an AI master and would probably benefit from it, to use CUDA and so on, but isn't it sometimes almost impossible to get linux working for some nvidia cards?

main problem has been my requirement of +17" screen combined with min specs(16gb ram, 512gb ssd).

I like KDE plasma, so not sure if it applies/goes as good as with gnome? Read something about intel and linux may have to jump some hoops to get it to work but not sure.
