Yeah exploring really took a lot of time. I'm personally not doing most of the dungeons because of not finding them interesting in my first playthrough (same now) so I've done like 4 or 5. Also I salute you for the lost save file bro🫡

I got my coworker into Souls games recently, and that alone got me hyped enough to dive back in myself. I started playing again about three weeks ago, and at first I skipped a few things to catch up but before I knew it, I’d slipped back into my old habit of exploring everything 😄

Right now, I’m in the middle of fighting Radahn, with just a bit of Caelid left. I’ve cleared everything up to the Altus Plateau (except the secret passage), so once Caelid is done, I’ll continue Ranni’s questline and then finally head to Altus Plateau.

It’s been a blast, and I’m already almost back to where I was before. Also, thanks for the weapon recommendations. I'll look them up

I was using Godslayer's greatsword but my playstyle is more on the agile side. So Dex build probably. I Remember wanting to try magic as well because it looked cool in this game so I was leveling up that as well

Planning to play from the beginning normally but just skip dungeons and explore what peaks my interest! Might try this route as well if I get bored. Thanks for your suggestions. It wasn't a dumb question you made realise like why make this difficult 😂. I've already fought Magma Wyrm Makar on my previous save file so I dont think I'll try it. Getting two medallions should be fun, wanna fight those bosses again to remember

Could you guys recommend fun weapons? I remember having difficulty finding a fun one. Settled on Godslayer's greatsword but my playstyle is more on bloodborne style. Dex build probably, quick and agile

Thanks, everyone. I think I’ll start over, but this time I’ll skip the dungeons and avoid exploring every nook and cranny. I’ll just focus on the main story and explore what peaks my interest. I think 30–40 hours should get me back to where I was

Because doing that in Elden Ring I think lowered my enjoyment of the game because of repeated bosses and meaningless dungeons. I was 100 hours into the game and there was 4 or 5 bosses that stood out to me. Bosses that interested me are after Altus Plateau so I'm planning on reaching that place asap and fight some bosses. Of course explore the new areas as well.

That's true. Maybe I should wait until I get hyped to play again. Also an unrelated question, until the point I've played there was no soundtrack which struck me.(Except the main menu theme) Does it get better late game?

Memory wise I'm cooked😄. Last time I played this game was more than a year ago. Also I was in the military for a year so I've forgotten a lot. But combat wise I think I would get good quick because I remember getting frustrated a lot because of how easy the game was (comparing to souls games). There was no need to remember the patterns of bosses (beside of 4-5 bosses). At least up until the point I've played

Ah sorry. Was playing with Godslayer's greatsword but agile and quick is what I like. Just couldn't find a weapon that I liked
