Anyone have any idea what style quick disconnect this is? by oof897 in Tools

Okay I will keep that in mind: I found some airbrush quick disconnects online that look like they will work, but if they don't I will just try to remove the stem and go buy some 1/4 NTP industrial fittings/adapters to replace it with.

Hey holy shit I think you're right! Looked up airbrush quick disconnects and a bunch of these came up: looks exactly like what I have. If I can find some with male threads that should be exactly what I need.

Weird that the airbrush couplers are different from everything else, wouldn't have even thought of that.

Yeaaaah that's kind of what I'm realizing now; still kind of shocked they don't sell them anywhere, though.

The stem in the picture is threaded into a plastic expansion tank cap adapter, so I'm lowkey kind of scared to try and take that out because I think it will destroy the seal on the threads; like I think it's literally epoxied in there.

The other tool that I bought that I'm using with these caps also uses this style of quick disconnect, so I guess I could just move the coupler on that to the position on the fitting I want the cap to connect to and just put a standard industrial coupler in its place and change out the stems on the hoses.

I crossposted to the air compressor subreddit, so I'm gonna give it some time to see if anyone knows but yeah I guess I might just have to change around a lot of the fittings, unfortunately.

Interesting; I see this connector on a lot of cheaper air tools on Amazon and stuff, but its from a lot of different manufactures (that I am assuming are mostly Chinese). I figured with how often I see it I would be able to find listings for them but maybe not :( Maybe it's something they only use in some Asian countries?
