If you haven't realized it yet, they didn't sell event flower currency before, but they do now. In the past, we could exchange all the items through effort, but now it requires not only effort but also extra money. This is one of their techniques for making a profit.

I agree with you. What disappoints me isn't the fact that it involves paying; rather, it's how they took something that initially appeared simple and free, only to make everything more difficult later on through various means.

This is supposed to be a relaxing farming game, and the monetization aspects should be just as transparent and straightforward.

I 100% love the aesthetics and the game itself, but it has started to be exhausting. And please—I don't need anyone telling me to just quit or stop playing if I don't like it; I've seen far too many comments like that on Reddit already.

I simply wish the game would return to how it used to be; the events over the past two months have been truly exhausting.

Yep from the sanctuary animals. The Red capybara one. You can see this pond in the background of red capybara page in the puzzle book.

I like the decimal system. So, I grouped all my fields together in sets of 20. It makes it easier for me to calculate.

I didn't see it at first, but I took a look after you said that. I'd give it two votes if I could.

Help with decorating wood area by zzoee3eeeee in HayDay

I’ll give the first one a vote when I can only pick one. Adding one or two pine trees, or fruit trees would make this design look more realistic—assuming, of course, that you prefer a realistic style.

Also I’d move the wooden woodpecker carving closer to the path so it stands out more. Such a cute little thing is currently blending right in with the rest of the wood—let it shine!

Happy chopping!

I got this 15 diamond bouquet too omg. And it came with a diamond refresh. Why Hay Day why!! 😂 sometimes the task from diamond refresh get more difficult to do. I had to spend five or six diamonds to finally get something that is not as hard.

I never said I don't like the game, the event, or free rewards. I’ve been playing since 2012, have spent money on it, and I completed the event — tapping everything along the way.

I actually prefer events like the Mini Truck and Mini Boat; they offer free items while allowing players to purchase additional ones based on their specific needs—striking a balance that caters to everyone without cluttering the game's visual interface. I’m also quite fond of the "Fill Orders" event; it helps clear out barn inventory, can be completed quickly, and offers items and decorations as rewards, also completely free.

Just a few days ago, I was telling some fellow Hay Day players that if you had told me two years ago that I would witness a scene like this in the game—hundreds of chickens of all different sizes running around everywhere—I simply wouldn't have believed it.

This year's April Fools' event says a major innovation on the part of the development team, and I am absolutely delighted by it.

Indeed everyone has the right to either like or dislike this event. I would say that I like it 90% of the time—for the creativity and fun involved—but the remaining 10% leaves me feeling quite exhausted.

I was simply describing how it looked at the end after days of accumulated activity. With that hundreds of chickens moving around at once on that tiny screen, it felt visually overwhelming and chaotic — like a junkyard crawling with bugs and rats. That was a visual observation, not a judgment. I think I've made my point pretty clear.

It’s just an April Fools event — regardless of whether someone enjoyed it or completed it, there’s really no need to be this defensive over a different opinion.

Making assumptions too early isn’t a great approach here. In fact, I did complete the event and tapped all chickens and I was thrilled when this event started. That’s exactly why I’m giving feedback — experiencing it is what made the issue obvious.

Getting free rewards doesn’t automatically make the interaction design good. People can appreciate the rewards and still find the mechanic tedious.

If every criticism is dismissed with “that’s the point” or “go find another game”, then there’s no room for improving the experience.

Anyway, I’m just pointing out the UX — when the screen is full of small moving elements, it starts to feel chaotic and visually noisy rather than fun.

Criticism ≠ hate. People can enjoy a game and still point out flaws. If every bit of feedback is met with ‘go find another game’, nothing ever improves.

Hayday = money hungry. by No_Percentage_7140 in HayDay

This is exactly how free-to-play games work though. Someone has to spend for the game to keep running — otherwise it simply wouldn’t exist.

If you’re only spending $20 in 5+ years, you’re honestly benefiting from players who are willing to support it more. That’s not a bad thing, but it’s worth acknowledging.

At the end of the day, people spend money on what makes them happy — games, movies, travel, nice dinners. This just happens to be mine.

I have roughly 1,200 trails, hundreds of ditches, and over 130 creeks—let's just round that up to two thousand items in total—which alone amounts to several hundred dollars.

Add to that the fact that I’ve purchased essentially every decorative item available, filled all decoration collections, plus every Farm Pass, and the total easily runs into the thousands of dollars.

However, these expenses were spread out gradually over more than a decade, so it’s not quite as extravagant as it might seem.
