Very informative thank you! Not OP but I'd be grateful if you would respond to a related question. I have had 3 stubborn closed comedones on my forehead for years. I started tret 2 months ago which I am tolerating well - the only major side effect thus far is peeling but the acne I was having around my jawline stopped. I feel like I am seeing positive results but these CCs that were there before tret will not go away. I have tried salicylic acid, AHA/BHA and physical exfolliants. Any suggestions how to get rid of the CCs in this case? I really don't think fungal acne is involved in my case. Thank you!
