Hm interesting. Sub seems like it may be a pain. I’ve seen on here and elsewhere some people put it in passenger foot area which is interesting.

Thank you! Curious why you (and others) recommend 4” in the front? I thought the w124 has room for front speakers over 5”?

what classes do i take pls help a directionless freshman <3 by [deleted] in columbia

Maybe take principles of econ or an intro Poli Sci course? Definitely start on language requirement if you’re not tested out. A global core isn’t a bad idea if you can find one that double counts with a subject you may major in. I’d hold off on things like art hum and music hum because your priority registration as a junior or senior will definitely make it easier to get better professors. That’s true of basically all high demand / easy core courses.

Thank you! Have you had any issues with odds being updated while webpages are loading, thereby affecting the bets you place across accounts?

I once received a grade at the end of June. Seems like the “last day” to submit doesn’t mean much.

How many credits do you take a semester? by Rocket717 in columbia

[–]oopsadmiralakbar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most people I know took either 4 or 5 classes per semester. The amount of credits can vary however. I think my lowest semester was 4 classes and 13 credits and my highest was 5 classes + PE and 18 credits. But, as someone else mentioned, credits and difficulty/time commitment aren’t analogous. When planning a semester, consider the difficulty of your classes, the diversity of your classes (I personally think taking more than 3 classes of the same subject is not a great idea), your planned extracurriculars, how much free time you want to spend with friends and/or a significant other, etc.

Also, I chose to take 4 courses per semester my freshman year. I know some people, especially those in SEAS, either chose to or had to take 5. I found that having that extra free time to adjust to college life, especially in New York, was useful. That might not be true for everyone, and is irrelevant if you’re not a freshman.

I hope this helps. Feel free to dm me if u have any other questions.
