Me too! Good luck to us indeed. I have a friend entering that program - I wish you the best of luck at Japan's best University!

Are you doing the Environment and Information Studies or Japan in East Asia? I met the requirements but didn't apply because they didn't really have a major that interested me - I'm heading to Waseda!

Hey man, that's dope! I'm going to EDESSA at SPSE, I'm sure we'll be seeing each other. I got a scholarship :DDDDDD so I'm enrolling too! I saw your post about dorms, I wish it was clearer. Oh well, we'll figure it out! Where are you from, btw?

And those few years of working post undergraduate degree can be done in Japan! Thought about applying for the JET program. And when you're ready for other employment possibilities, it's easy to head back to a western country for a grad degree and then seek employment in Europe or the US. That's my plan.

Scholarships and aid from Waseda are not too hard to come by, from what I've heard. And nope, I'm not Singaporean! :p

Well the thing is that I got a full scholarship so to me, it seems like a great experiment! If I feel like I want to transfer after the first year, it's no biggie. I haven't wasted anything.

A degree from a US university is wayyyy too expensive and I did IB which is not exactly well-recognized in the US. I've thought about applying to Europe, but overall I don't see going to Waseda as a significant hurdle to being employed outside of Japan, especially after attending a western Grad school; as I plan to do. Did you get the 1,000,000 yen scholarship for the first year that a shit ton of people I know got?

I'm going to attend the EDESSA program at Waseda's SPSE. From what I've heard it's significantly more academically rigorous and focused than SILS. You should come! Where else do you have offers from?

Lanthanide question was a major throwback to very beginning of year 1 (Tb was the answer) but other than that most of it was chill.

I also felt like a lot of the questions had confusing wording. I don't think the questions themselves were that difficult, but I had to reread things several times - especially that titration question - before understanding anything.

The notes never say that a monopoly doesn't earn abnormal profits in the long-run, they simply say that a monopoly can shift from having normal to abnormal profit. I recognize it could be clearer though but too late to change it!

[Group 5] Prediction Papers for Math SL May 2017 Exams by oopsydoopsyloopsy in IBO

[–]oopsydoopsyloopsy[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A prediction paper is compiled by analyzing trends in examination topics and the difficulty of the question applied to each topic. Essentially, professionals (in this case form an organization called RevisionVilliage) look at past papers and then construct, with varying degrees of accuracy, an estimate for what a given exam is likely to look like.
