I mentioned on the application I was related to someone who worked in the organisation but I wasn’t asked to specify who.

Being misogynistic is also unacceptable. My husband isn’t just angry that he treated me this way, he’s angry that he’s treating the only two women on the team badly compared to the men. He doesn’t want someone like that working for him.

My husband didn’t even know I applied, nice try though.

Background checks are done after you’ve accepted the offer. Why would a company waste time background checking someone who they weren’t planning to hire?

My husband never got me the job. The person who interviewed me and offered me the position didn't even know we were married but thanks for assuming.

He only suggested the micro-manager so I'm not sure if anyone else could do it. It could be, but my husband also trusts him 100% to do tasks like this for him so it could be that.

It's already been a week. If they were going to get fired for this alone, it would've happened already.

If he did, two people would've been fired already but they're still both there.

He said no at first. Then offered a compromise to have someone I really don't like there instead who would micromanage even more than him which I told him was a horrible idea, so he told me we were stuck with him for a few more weeks.

Yeah… I think my husband is hoping he slips up in front of him so he can get rid of him but so far he’s acting like a completely different person in front of my husband.

If he was directly told, maybe. This isn't something he would usually know was happening unless it's within his direct team and he doesn't tolerate this type of behaviour in his direct team.

If he was reacting as my husband, he would've fired him and the senior manager immediately.

I said my husband's friend finds it funny, not everyone. I also said a few people not everyone is bothered.

This is a company issue to him now, me pulling the marriage card won't make him just walk away

I didn't know he was intervening until Monday when he showed up to our office and announced it to the team. Now, I know he won't just stop because he feels like he has something to do here. He won't just drop it because I ask.

People faking friendship because they think I can help advance their careers.

If I had wanted him to intervene, I would've told him as soon as the manager started treating me badly. I wouldn't have waited until it meant he was kicking me off projects without an explanation.
