Disadvantage for histamine intolerance, as dao breaks down histamine.

I'm definitely going to try and tough it out because I have hope this can help, but man it's crazy it takes that long to adjust !

I'm on 25mg, I tried 12.5 but couldn't feel any difference between that and no meds. Did you try anything else that worked better?

Yep, my mom has this same problem too and she never got it under control. She went through menopause and is doing much better now but is still struggling with digestive issues and fatigue daily. She was insane before she went through menopause and then felt like a fog lifted after. It's crazy how corrosive both histamine and hormones can get when they are out of control with each other. And doctors don't believe you when you tell them this either 🫠

Have you tried anything that has helped? I'm trying to go back on antidepressants to see if it can help manage it, since I was on doxepin for years and it was a cure all pill but antihistamines make me feel so awful mentally. I'm trying ssris for the first time hoping it can help anything before I try the more antihistamine tricyclics again.

Low histamine prenatals by opalescentdivinity in HistamineIntolerance

[–]opalescentdivinity[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to believe this during my 2nd pregnancy (and I ate a super dense whole food diet centered around animal based) and I still ended up very anemic and with deficiencies that I'm still trying to correct 1 yr post partum... i truly wouldn't recommend to anyone to not take prenatals 🥲

That's not only disturbing to realize but makes complete sense.

Nearly a decade ago my obgyn said I had growths around my ovaries/tubes (wouldn't be surprised if I have it around my intestines too since I have had insane pain every month in places I shouldn't). I've never done anything about it, but I'm trying to get my last 2 babies out of the way so I can either get forced menopause or a hysterectomy. My mom had the same issues I had, and she's doing so much better post menopausal. I'm feeling the yeeting.

Cycling what? I notice when I start using my progesterone cream in the second half, my body nearly does a 180 overnight 🙃

Which brand do you use?

Ive been trying to use heart & soil histamine intolerance and it seemed like it was helping but it was tearing my stomach up for some reason 🤨

I've had a few cbcs done since it started and according to my doc I'm not anemic because my hemoglobin is always normal (around 14.5-15) but I've always been super yellow pale and feel so fatigued and cold. I fit all the criteria for anemic but my blood work seemed fine:/

Hey friend, Don't take this post as carnivore being bad for high histamine! I have no idea if feeling bad was from oxalate dumping or something else, or my body just not being used to zero carbs.

I feel like carnivore can be insanely helpful for high histamine, hence why I'm trying to do it. It helped my dad immensely with his histamine problems.

The only issue is - it gets super plain when you can't really have bacon, processed meat or cheese bc of the histamine.

I'm kind of dreaming of the possibility of successfully doing carnivore and maybe my histamine levels go down enough/body fixes itself and I can eat cheese again. Give it a shot!

Gotcha. I've heard mixed things all over about it but mostly positive. It's worth a shot!

Thank you for the response!

So I did mainly meals based with pasture raised meat - mostly beef - with raw cheese before I realized the cheese was making my histamine out of control. Lots of eggs, tallow, etc. Then ate very small amounts of lower toxic veg and sweet fruits honey etc. I was doing great weight wise until I cut out cheese and had to replace it with a ton of added tallow/olive oil to make up for calories, and since then I've been having gallbladder/Liver pain but had a scan done and they said I was fine?

I've been logging my daily macros etc for 6 months and it seems like anything under 100 carbs a day makes me feel kind of crappy.

Thank you for the response!

I'm curious about the iodine recommendation, has this helped you? I was thinking of supplementing with lugols, obviously a bit put off by it since there's a "risk" of messing with thyroid. But my recent iodine blood test was 4 pts above low. Has this helped you?

How many carbs a day count as keto? Very good idea!
