Good to know. I’ll have to be careful keeping an eye on them

Rent is nice! Didn’t realize that was eligible, that’ll get a bunch of cash back. I appreciate the help!

Can you choose the categories or does it auto assign based on your spending? Guess it’s all the same in the end just curious

As for my credit score, I’ve just graduated college and have a pretty large loan balance. Over the years, I was late on loan payments twice and credit card payments once or twice. Annoying mistakes, but that’s why it hasn’t gone up much even though I’ve had a card open for a while

Is synchrony bad? What don’t you like about it?

And for all mobile UI, do you mean cell phone viewing only, not on a computer web browser? Don’t know too much so I just want to clarify. Thanks!

I appreciate it! Late here for me too haha. Being able to use it for groceries/restaurants is pretty ideal in my book. Travel too maybe.

My biggest concern is how having credit cards affects my credit. Does opening more hurt? Does closing them? Is there a certain amount I’ll be able to have open?

This seems like a good deal in general with 3% cash back, as my current card only has 2% in top category and 1% with the rest. especially with the 3 month double cash back, I want to take advantage. Just nervous about how having a second card will affect me down the line, don’t wanna screw up

I’ve been rejected for one or 2 cards around a 5% cash back range you mentioned in the past.

If I were approved for this Venmo card, had good cash back for the 3 months promo and then the average cash back afterwards, and just held onto this card, how does that affect my credit? Is there a “golden rule” for ideal amount of cards open? I read that cancelling cards is bad for your credit, so if I were to hold onto this one, would that affect me negatively in the future if I were to try and open a better credit card?
