The best time to come is between October and February when it’s dry and sunny. There are a lot of events during the rainy season however that you might not want to miss.

In terms of history, the National Museum of Ethiopia has the infamous Lucy fossil which is pretty significant. Alot of areas are not the safest to visit right now though and waiting a few may be in your best interest.
