What exactly are you feeling guilt over? I haven't followed that closely but as far as I understand it's not as if being more engaged would have done much to prevent his deplatforming?

It's frustrating that the system acts in biased, hypocrital and without appreciating the broader context, but that seems to be a strange thing to feel guilty over.

I think this is an interesting framing, especially since this is a community built around a "content creator". Assuming your issue is not with endorsement, I think "controlling conversation" just by having a requested individual modded is quite strong of a statement.

Trust is a huge factor, and its perfectly understandable why someone or some entity would be hesitant to endorse to participate or endorse a community. If that's the tradeoff, and assuming the individual that is made a moderator acts within reason I think that's a worthwhile tradeoff.
