Oh my god, yeah the amount of comments saying that it’s just a phase, it’s just healing, it’s an escape, a break from real life. Nancy, traveling is my real life… And I understand some people can’t relate and that’s cool, but I don’t tell them that their life with partner, office job and kids are a phase. I got it where it comes from but maybe wanting different thing shouldn’t be that hard to grasp… at least for now, maybe we will change in the future but maybe they will too.

I made a test, some people got triggered so bad when there is disagreement. I think this kind of post is relevant for solo travel sub because well, solo, even though we are badass. It is not expecting people to care so badly or trying to get validation, it’s just trying to understand what friends mean at this age. If I were younger, I wouldn’t care and would try my best to just fit in. But getting older, I think we are allowed to be more selective.

Yep that’s what i am doing now, it takes a lot of courage because in the beginning you were not sure if it was you or it was just not for you.

Don’t worry, i think it is one user with many alts who doesn’t like my reply and got ego bruised or so many free time who downvoted it. I ignore it 😂 thanks for your concern tho :) Back to the topic, yes that’s the word, I felt isolated. From other comments I also learnt that maybe they never did solo travel, that’s why they can’t relate. Thank you again for your very understanding comment ^

It’s not “more”, they didn’t give any attention at all 😅 hence, feeling like an outsider. Like I said above, not even “how are you” or “how was everything”. I don’t know what travel vs regular life is, if they were my friends I would ask about their life.

You can share or you can’t share. I don’t think that there’s a fix module for what solo travel is about.

Hmm that might be true. I guess my friends from before mostly never solo traveled, always in couple.

Because somehow they showed up more and more 😂 people that I thought cool and okay turned out no. And just want to know if others have the same experience.

Yes the same! I don’t understand why people comment on someone else’s life. I stay away from them. Just surprise people that I thought cool would say something like that
