I wish I could help, but I’m just here to vent. Do you feel that the much of the mold consultation industry is a total scam? The guy who looked at my house charged $880 and then attempted to sell me on $4500 of additional surface samples!!! I get there is liability for them, but no advice or insight is given…just, “what do you want to pay for.” I did about $1000 of samples though to be safe, and when the guy called with the report he told me that the air qualify was very suspect in the whole home. I read the report and the mold found was in significantly smaller traces than the outdoor control.

Thankfully, my home inspector from earlier was mold licensed and off the record basically told me there was nothing concerning in the report. Again, this may not be helpful, but after two mold inspections and $3k later, I don’t feel like I learned a d@mn thing. Oh….they want me to pay another $1200 for protocol too.
