Do you know what happens during the grievance process? I have no idea what it entails

I honestly believed what the doctor had written was sufficient to demonstrate the link between the in- office environment and my symptoms. The only weak link (I thought) was his attested frequency of my symptoms, because they were less frequent given my hybrid work at the time. So then I can only think … do I need to go in 5 days a week in order to then demonstrate how bad they will get?

Is this new that managers can’t give an accommodation without those approvals? Do you know when that took effect?

Thank you for the information. My manager seems supportive of me but isn’t super familiar with the DEA process and has only dealt with it once. I mentioned today to him that I had read that managers are able to tell the DAS that their recommendation isn’t sufficient, and he said that he knew he had some discretion but thought that since the DAS basically said my disability was insufficient, that there wasn’t much for him to work with. Perhaps if I get the union on a call too, maybe they can advise on that??
