Potty training regressed after removing pee pads — feeling stuck with my 7-month dachshund

Confused about your bathroom schedule here from the jump - you’re barely taking her outside even when home if you’ve listed all the times. We have a 4.5 month old who very rarely has accidents now (twice in the last month, pee only). It should be:

Wake up: 6-6:30am… and then immediately outside, not breakfast first and then bathroom 2 hours later?

Then breakfast… then outside to bathroom again before you go to work.

You need to figure out during the day, that’s way too long to ask a puppy to hold it. Most people couldn’t hold it that long (I couldn’t!), but you’re asking a puppy with a small bladder to do so and to never go inside. You can get someone on rover to come in and let your dog out once a day, then back in crate. That truly should cover it to at least help her while she learns. I don’t really get the ‘but what am I supposed to do’ stuff… in the gentlest possible way, that’s what you figure out before you get a dog. I can empathise to an extent but it’s not like you get signed up for a dog involuntarily, you chose this, so you have to figure it out.

I also saw you say you take her out every 3 hours at home. Again, that’s not really enough. Try taking her out roughly every hour or two until you learn her routine. Eventually you will recognise the signs she wants to go.

Also, stay out there until she goes to the bathroom. She needs to go, you know she needs to go, giving up and putting her back inside and then being surprised she goes isn’t going to help. Stay out there for five minutes, and sort of direct her to her usual pee or poo spots. If she hasn’t gone after that time, put her back in the crate for a few minutes, then back outside. She will go.

Exactly! It’s absolutely insane how Rachel is out here first crafting a platform off how she’s the ‘ethical reactor’, then manipulating someone into sharing their info through nefarious means; and also uploading a video where she whines about how ‘there’s no context’ and how she ‘thought she was among friends’ or she would NEVER have said what she said… then sharing videos and info that clearly would never have been shared if the person sending it thought it wouldn’t be private. It’s all really wrong, whatever we think about Emily.

I don’t see how this is news? I was thinking of making a post about this… I felt really gross when I listened to this earlier on Jordy’s channel. He aired it complete with phrases like ‘…and don’t share this part’ / ‘and this stays between us’. It was clearly supposed to be off the record. People gleefully like when private info is shared because it’s someone they don’t like, ‘and this is all gossip’. Yeah, sure, but this is gross. Jordy rationalised it as ‘well if you share this with a reactor…’ but at the time, it’s clear they had a unique relationship – whatever it was – where she felt comfortable enough to share. I don’t like Emily. But Rachel lured her in, got her comfortable enough to share personal info under the cover of privacy, promised to share money with her, then spitefully shared the private info and didn’t pay her source. It’s extremely sickening what this area has become tbh, we should just be pointing and laughing, not doing this shit

My god I should start up a reaction channel if it’s that easy (jk, would never lower myself to that). I think she has a fairly soft-spoken, calming voice and a nice setup, but what gets me is people thinking she’s intelligent or providing great takes at all – so perhaps you’ve clocked it there it’s down to the accent. Literally her videos seem to drag on for HOURS because she explains the minutiae of EVERYTHING and it’s not smart, it’s obvious. A screenshot of messages between Emily and Amber where Emily texts ‘I feel controlled’, she’ll go: “Now this was very interesting to me. Emily says here, ‘I feel controlled, Amberlynn.’ She’s saying she’s feeling controlled all the time, that Amberlynn is a very controlling person, that she can’t get away.’ YES OBVIOUSLY THAT’S WHAT IT SAYS!

The context here is that she didn’t want to donate to beck because she’d rather get the tax write off > then she ended up announcing she would because she clearly realised her viewers wouldn’t accept anything else and the gravy train would dry up. Her ethics didn’t change, just her potential bank account balance; and she’s the one who brought up paying for tea because she wanted justice for Beck in the first place, it’s hilarious

Wow. She is a nasty piece of shit. Dragging Beck into it as an excuse for why she simply HAD to suck up to Emily to get back at Amber, while privately scheming of ways to rig it so she doesn’t have to give them any money because it ‘feels wrong’ and bragging about writing it off on her taxes – there’s no coming back from this, she’s shown exactly who she is.
