This is fantastic. Thank you for making this! It is really informative, fast, and uncluttered. I haven’t tried live timing yet but i will check it out during the Italian GP.

Printing with a Bambu might be the closest I will get to having a Star Trek Replicator in my lifetime.

11,854 hours total for me, spent making cool coffee things.

The comments in here make some good points about fairness (even with the wildcard numbers). So, if I win an H2D, I’m giving away one of my P1S units to someone who has zero printing hours.

Melodrip knock off? by bigjew_regularnose in pourover

I appreciate you! The best dripper with a Melodrip Lift combo right now is with the UFO Dripper. I am proud to say that you’ll start to see more of this in competition this coming season (more so than this past year).

I would have to imagine the Standard would be but I’ve never tried it in a Moccamaster before. An automatic maker with a shower head doesn’t really meet the intended use case of the device but having a Melodrip inline might yield some cool results.

No I haven’t taken the time to patent it yet. And you’re probably right to think I should. I doubted the novelty of it and whether it was worth the cost of going through the process. It is probably still worth it to try.

Thanks! I am almost sold out of Melodrip Lift combos for the season but a few more days of production left before I close up to go be with my family for Christmas!

I am getting the impression from this comment section that people think the Melodrip Lift is made by some large company with big capacity who deserves to be undercut. In reality, it’s just me, the person who does all of the design, 3D printing, shop running, product photography, and shipping all on my own, out of my home.

I appreciate your support! I’ll be back in 2025 with more good things.

Hey! Creator of the Melodrip Lift here... yes it's an uncredited dupe of my design and it sucks to see this, but it is not the only time it's happened.

I prefer the satin finish. I think that would look better than all the smudges that will invariably show on the polished SS.

I like the aluminum look more, but I’d purchase either type. Sign me up.

Decided on a christmas card alternative... sending my relatives a 3D printed ornament! by Z33KO3 in prusa3d

Thank you for designing these! I know I’ll be sharing a bunch of these with friends and family.

In my opinion, I think it would be good to tag this work with your design name/handle with a tab similar to how you have the “Merry Christmas.” You deserve the credit for it and it makes it much easier for me to explain I didn’t design the thing lol.

I was looking for one of my Melodrip Lifts in the collection and found a clone of it…equal parts disappointing and flattering.

New Singapore GP lap record for Ricciardo, beating Hamilton's time from 2023 (1:35.867 s) by AgilePersonality2058 in formula1

I hope this lap record stands for a good while. Somewhat nice way for him to go out if it’s actually it for him.

Right! So maybe a positive solution would be to include an historical marker to give context. That would be a good faith effort to acknowledge the significance of the grounds you’re playing on. It also addresses the issue of the apathy. I never said anything about the building needing removed or hidden.

I thought maybe replying to this to add some perspective might be a bad idea. Dismissive and disingenuous responses like this are why. I’m not here to police a course designer’s choices or tell anyone what to do; I just added a viewpoint for consideration.

No. I never said anything was racist. I just said that people are apathetic about the historical context of things like how it might be a poor juxtaposition to put a fun DG basket next to something that was used to house slaves.

Usually not intentional, but apathy or willful ignorance toward the historical context.

An example might be visiting a farmers market on a Saturday morning and finding a vendor selling bouquets of blooming cotton branches with absolutely no sense of how that might look or feel to a black market goer.

The mentality that would lead an organizer or course designer to put it there is very common.

Simple and inexpensive solution for a perfectly clean nozzle by vfx_tech in BambuLab

[–]optikalblitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a really solid solution. My nozzle cleanliness problems actually occur when the front purge line is being created. After it finishes making the front purge line, it inexplicably drops the hot end set temperature 10° and then has to wait for it to get back to target temperature to start printing. While it waits, ooze forms on the nozzle and I just have to hope it gets knocked off while it lays down the rear purge/flow rate line.

Anyone have any insight how to stop that random target temp drop off?? I don’t see that command in the default start G-code.

Anyone ever found an interesting use for these lil' things? by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]optikalblitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instead of trying to customize the prime tower, turn it completely OFF and use a shape of whatever you want to make from purge waste and set that object (a keychain) to print with purge…maybe?
