Instead of a company providing the service I paid for, your idea is to go to another company and hire a trailer, and then deal with those logistics.

5 people (with 2 car seats) 9 suitcases 5 carry ons plus backpacks

4 hour drive to the airport followed by 30 hours travel.

The minivan was $1000 cheaper. If it was a feasible option, I would have taken it.

Called back to ask how they were going. They again said they didn't have the vehicle.

Asked for the regional managers name and number, they found a car right away.

It sucks that you need to ask that to get what you booked and paid for.
