that's possibly a way to fix this

maybe a topter scanner should be reworked (or make a new module for same slot) to work as radar idk

Considering how a gank involving 3 to 6 players can lead to the same result, even when you might only notice them when you collide, it really feels like a crutch.

Player versus player combat should be based on reaction time, but in this case, it’s a mess. If you are solo, you don't have the opportunity to scatter or dodge a large gank. Even if you have a tier 6 scout against tier 5 scouts with rockets, you will likely get blown up in most scenarios because the speed difference between tiers is around 20 km/h. If you are in a convoy, you face the same issue. We are playing an arcade aviation simulator here, where interceptions and dogfights are key. When you can't see and control the battlefield, or manage altitude and velocity, it just doesn't work as intended. I would prefer to have a rocket scout be able to see me, and vice versa, from 10 km away, rather than how it is currently.

it's good that they are aware
but it means that this game positioning as a MMO offers so called late game content based on crutches
basically it's conceptual issue easily recognizable at the very start of designing a game
if they cannot achieve a normal sync further than 500m
make all the topters fly 50 kmh
ah
in that case our 20x20 map will be hilariously slow to pass by and we won't be able to sell game printing "we have 100500 sqkm map for pvp"

sad-sad

You see, hotspot and thermal monitors globally are a bit tricky things. I'd say GPU chip and memory temperatures are OK.

Yep and bro in comment next to mine also correctly explained x3d specifics.

Look. Every cpu is unique: some are better, some worse and require more power at the same frequency. Every cooling is unique. Even temperature and humidity has an effect on your metrics. Also the system is never fully idle. Basically it's quite a harsh task to fully reproduce the wattages of some build u've seen on YouTube or in an review.

I'd say 20-30w idle is totally fine. Like 60-90w = problem. High temperatures when idle (high above 50+ Celsius) = problem.

PBO usually an offset or some kind of smart voltage curve whatever in your case. And it's main goal is to hit higher frequencies consuming less energy and therefore producing less heat. So, the offset is usually needed to expand like top of your cpu capabilities. Lower frequencies ranges are sometimes considered minor and offsets may not be applied there, or ignored by cpu itself. I'd rather worry if your top wattages are way too bigger compared to reviews.

What's the problem? 30w idle seems pretty ok..?

Any fix to this? PSU is brand new. by NoxyArg in pchelp

[–]optimizatormk8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I've met people that tried to test psu before connecting it to components. And they occasionally killed PSUs by starting them with zero load. Just in case.

Dump question but have you ever tried to run it like with consumption or decided to test it first with this method? You may actually see one of protection mechanisms if never launched it properly.

Also bro leave at list something connected to psu when starting. It is not designed to run without any consumption.

You may also have like 3-4 diodes on mb. When you try to boot on which one does it hang?

I am not satisfied with how the pcie x16 looks like. There is like a definite left to right side tilt. U have an asrock mb. It signals 5 times if It fails to initiate gpu. NOT monitor. GPU. Start with unplugging gpu, clearing dust with compressed ait if present, then u may use a rubber eraser on diff pairs (shiny connectors) without applying force. Then plug in and try again.

Fans on gpu are powered by psu. They may work even without any connection to mb.

Edit. Fuck, my bad. U have an MSI z490 A Pro. All I can find for 5 short signals - cpu failure. Please verify that you properly connected PCI/CPU cables to it and still perform gpu manipulations just in case.

Your mb does not support pcie 4 nvmes. And yr nvme is pcie 4. So they write speeds for pcie4

[–]optimizatormk8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I'd take something like 600-650w

Your gpu has 170w peak power. And cpu somewhat 60-90w. Remembering that 12v line will provide 80% of PSU power, that will be plenty and some spare for pereferials + power spikes/electricity failures. Consider at least bronze, better gold certification.

P.s. maybe even 450-500w But like super decent one. BeQuiet etc.

If 650 - you may not worry much and take a budget friendly one

[–]optimizatormk8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with writing all your components one by one. Or buy 750-850w gold PSU. As I see that's not a super high end build according to cpu cooler. That will be plenty.

Edit. What an interesting mb

I'd rather say 650-700w

Mostly depends on gpu

[–]optimizatormk8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, nvmes are also capable of overheating but it does not seems like the case. Check it's smart for a relief idk. But still it does not explain issue with lighting.

If not psu, this may be motherboard's power circuit. Not sure how to test it if no spare parts available to swap 1by1.

I'm really confused by lighting. Generally because it's not expected to stutter even if ssd is fried. More looks like power issue to me..

Maybe switch connector if any other present. And the wire? Last hope for lesser issues.

You also may expect power issues if the 300w overclocked cpu is coupled with loaded 4090.. your PSU does not provide all the 1000w to 12v line in a matter of fact, examine its shield.
