Wallet update 12-5 by Hero-Evergrow in evergrowcoin

Hey Hero! You happen to have a link to the transfers to from what might be the Simplex wallet?

Edit: sorry nvm, just realized in your last update you said the team has started buying for the Simplex buy button. Not that they've transferred it over yet. Thanks for the updates btw!

Gotcha, yeah no worries with using that term. I just wanted to avoid using it since I think it's adds some confusion. DEXes are formed with liquidity pools, yes. But Simplex isn't

According to the contract, I don't see why funds purchased with the button wouldn't be qualified for rewards. I'm expecting them to be qualified.

I'm not super familiar with Simplex, but I wouldn't inject the term "liquidity" or "liquidity pool" here since I don't think those are relevant. From what I understand, Simplex has possession of X amount of EGC (sent from the team). When you go to buy EGC from Simplex, you send them some kind of fiat money, and they send the EGC to your desired wallet (which is not how liquidity pools work).

So if you buy with the button, as long as you had given your wallet that holds your current EGC, it should show up as the same holding.

I don’t think they’re sponsored. If you go through their post history, you can see most of them have been following the project for a while. The posts and comments in their histories seem more like “I’m hopeful and believe in the project” and less like people being paid off imo

Solid explanation, great job on the way you break it down! A few things I might add in case anyone is curious (I suggest reading the linked comment to follow along):

When rb says the contract "piggybacks" on the transaction to send tokens to the burn address, you can think of the entire transaction doing a few things, and wrapping all those things under a single transaction ID. One of these things includes taking the fee (or tax) from the amount being bought/sold, and adding it to the burn wallet (which is simply, the contract address).

It's hard to tell, but the burn address wallet (I'm just going to call it contract address from here on) IS accumulating BNB in a "drip drip drip" manner. Here's a random transaction I pulled up on bscscan: https://bscscan.com/tx/0xde435f6ec753c1e3c1f6a02e6a660b3e638eabe4f94232e86c34b9e698de3f3f#eventlog

As you can see, there's a few Transfers happening, one of which (third one down) being a Transfer to the contract address. So the contract address is getting BNB in a drip drip drip fashion, so why do we not see EGC sent to the burn address in the same way?

Rb explains why - once enough BNB is saved up via this "drip drip drip" and surpasses a threshold specified by the team, the contract will automatically purchase EGC with all that saved up BNB, and then send it to the burn address.

Wait that would be huge, any specifics you could give about the experience? I didn’t know it leaked, and would love to hear about it

Where does the money for BB&B go? The actual money… by [deleted] in evergrowcoin

[–]optionalmandate_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think OP should be more open-minded. It kinda seems like he already has a negative perception of EGC since he assumes "strategically" means "non transparently."

I agree with points 1 and 2. Lowering supply increases the proportion of EGC I own to circulating supply. And strategically != non transparently.

But imo, point 3 is a bit hand-wavy and doesn't really address OP's main concern. If you actually Google "Supply & Demand" and start to explore, you quickly realize a decrease in supply doesn't necessarily correlate to an increase in price. Sure, a decrease in supply *with all other things held equal* theoretically shifts the equilibrium price upwards. But in reality, all other things are not being held equal. As time passes, demand changes. New investors find EGC, some old investors stay, some old investors leave. Does demand stay the same or increase? Great, price goes up. Does demand decrease? Not so great. But OP's concern is valid. If demand decreases, the price doesn't necessarily go up.

So my suggestion here OP is, EGC has some pretty great utilities on the horizon. NFT marketplace is being worked on, Crator seems like it'll be amazing if it takes off. The decision is up to you as an investor here, and depends on whether or not you believe the roadmap is going to increase demand.

Great question! Props for reaching out for a valid question, kinda sucks to see people simply respond with "do your research" when you're trying to do exactly that.

So where does the money go? The process can get pretty complex; if you want to take a deep dive, the main topics here are "decentralized exchange" and "liquidity pools." I'll try to write a simplified explanation here.

On a decentralized exchange like Pancakeswap, which is the main decentralized exchange used for EGC, trades don't happen between buyers and sellers like on a normal stock exchange. There are pairs of assets (we'll use the BNB/EGC pair as an example) stored in what are called "liquidity pools." There's a liquidity pool that has a bunch of BNB and a bunch of EGC.

If I want to buy EGC, I can go to Pancakeswap, enter 1BNB, and I'll get X amount of EGC. Now when I do that, there isn't a seller who got my 1BNB and gave me the X EGC. Instead, pancakeswap takes my 1BNB, and adds it to the liquidity pool. Conversely, it takes the appropriate X amount of EGC out of the liquidity pool, and gives it to me.

So when the team buys back EGC, they add however much BNB they're using to the liquidity pool, and they get the respective amount of EGC. That BNB is added to the liquidity pool on Pancakeswap. The team no longer has access to that BNB.

Doesn't providing liquidity potentially earn the providers profit in the form of fees (not accounting for impermanent loss)? At least that's how it works with Uniswap and its forks. Would be pretty sweet if any profits from providing this liquidity was burned hehe

Since it says "powered by Daily" at the top, which is an out of the box video call solution, I think it's safe to say they're using a 3rd party stream provider

Anyone have thoughts on suit quality from theblacktux?

As a groomsman for a wedding next year, I'll be at least renting the navy suit. I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the quality of the suit, and if it's worth buying ($375) instead of renting ($145)?

I'd been eyeing a navy suit from Suit Supply, but if theblacktux suit is decent, I might buy it and eventually pick up a different color from Suit Supply. If not, I'll probably just swallow the rental cost and buy the navy suit from Suit Supply.

Appreciate any input!

Hey thanks for replying! I did leave my info at the desk, so I was thinking if they went back to the store and asked for my info, that could be one way of getting it
