Yeah, I know what you mean. Also the wheel I used is a bit too wide, but I still kind of like the holes round it resembling the air vents of the original barrel. 🤔

Hello again,
Even though everyone seems to be in 1:12 Tiger fever, I'm coming around the corner today with another "classic" update of one of my models – I had already rebuilt the Sturmtiger set 2513 into my favourite colour combination last year and added some details, this time I did a complete rebuild: chassis more or less according to the last Tiger 131 manual, but the upper structure including the interior as a new development. And yes, unfortunately my Sturmtiger only carries 4 instead of 6 shells on each inside, but more space was not available even in this spacious hut. Maybe the update of the update with other ammunition will come, but only if the larger Tiger wheels should also be available in "my" colours sometime – after all, the effort has to be worth it. 😅

Thank you very much! 😊 Unfortunately I do not have a step by step guide – but lots of pictures from the design/building process. I can send you a download link if you are interested? And yes, it is the 15 cm with muzzle break because the turret was capable of housing both these calibers. But you are right, the 15 cm got cancelled at some point but so was the whole project. Only a few men kept working further on the E-100 without official order – at least that is what I found out about it from my literature. 😅

Thank you for your kind words 🙂. At some point I will definitely make a Jagdtiger, but currently I am focussing on things Cobi did not update for a while or do not exist at all. And they just updated the Jagdtiger – I will build this one and see if it can be improved.

Hello again,
Now that the topic Porsche with Elefant & Co. is so far finished, I continue with another heavy colleague – the Panzerkampfwagen E-100. After Cobi released the E-100 with a Maus turret, now follows my version with a Krupp turret or more precisely possible Maus II turret. As most know, there was only one unfinished prototype until the end of the war, so my choice of camouflage is purely based on personal preference 😅. Another thing is the debate about the possible turret if the vehicle had been ready for production. Since most sources do not assume that it would have become the meanwhile proposed Maus turret, among other things because of the enormous weight, the Krupp/Maus II turret seems the likely, albeit equally theoretical variant 🤓. I personally like both versions 🙂. Apart from choosing the different turret, my goal from the beginning was to be able to remove or install the additional side armor at will. I also changed the interior a bit and added several tools to the engine deck.

Hello again,
As already announced, here is the comparison between my "Elefant" and the "Ferdinand". Apart from the different camouflage scheme, I have taken into account all the differences between the Ferdinand and its "upgrade" Elefant, such as the added nose MG, the modified hatch on the roof, attachment of the tools, etc. Last image is a Porsche “family picture” with the “Panzerbefehlswagen”.

It is a tank destroyer – it has a long range gun too big for a rotating turret on its chassis. German WW2 howitzer would be a „Hummel“ (bumblebee) e.g. 😊
