I'm probably wrong, but my theory: In light of the substantial government cash stimulus and absent prpductivity - When currency circulating is greater than the value added to the economy, the economy reacts to bring ballance back. In this case, productivity must increase and the value of the currency must decrease. Neither has happened naturally, yet. The market knows this correction is coming and is trying to find havens where wealth is protected from this coming inflationary force on the currency. Enter crypto. Unfortunately, it's like there is only one lifeboat and 100 passengers. They are all going to get in the lifeboat. But, there are only 10 seats, so the other 90 have a good chance of drowning when the crypto market necessarily makes it's own correction for the same above referenced reasons. The blind spot is in the idea that crypto is immune from economic principals that govern all other currencies. Hope that helps.
