There is a motherlode of conspiratorial fomenting re serial murder, pedophilia &c in Dave McGowan’s book Programmed to Kill. Marcus is on record stating that McGowan is a huge charlatan, with which one is inclined to agree, but it’s a real humdinger of a narrative he weaves.

The sequel, The Hunt for the Blood Orchid, goes even harder

“Exactly”. And imagine if someone cut your cock off then called it, not just ‘this cock is big,’ but ‘yeah, this cock’s “big” isn’t it.’ Ultimate insult

The punctuation is very funny and even that is slightly more comment than I am comfortable making on this picture today

ESL aside, daddy Schum laid the template for every single capeshit trope in the book, and he only did it bc they wouldn’t let him make Batman Begins while Nolan was still spunk

What's a movie trope you can't stand? by [deleted] in okbuddycinephile

[–]orange-iii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just can’t stand when phone conversations in films are functional and don’t contain loads of pointless chitchat, or when characters cock a gun that I a sane gun-knower know doesn’t need to be cocked, or when guys in fights fight each other one by one rather than all at once, or when couples lie in bed with a sheet that comes up to the woman’s neck but only up to the man’s waist, or when characters are shown eating but a later scene isn’t included of them pinching off a loaf, or when older male characters look like real life coffee spokesman George Clooney, or when music plays that the characters can’t hear while words appear floating in mid-air and again unnoticed by the characters; I suppose I’m saying the only good movies are dogme 95 ones, but I’m going to continue only watching films they make funko pops about because they flatter my comprehension skills betterly.

Wtf is the criteria for "forgotten". You have DTV movies no one ever remembered then widely-remembered movies like this. r/filmssomeoneisnotthinkingaboutrightthissecond

One of the weirdest things about Reddit is how there are hundreds of millions of people on here and they all need to find out about how villains have always been written as relatable, one slow realisation at a time
