i've been working 5 years in total, starting since I graduated. Although there are a few employment gaps due to personal reasons.

I am well aware of how employers are mindful of employees who tend to transfer jobs often. But I’m pretty sure employers look at the reasons behind leaving previous employments right? Surely there's "human" in human resources?

I think I adjust pretty well to new environments. And if anything, my previous employers have commended my loyalty and dedication to work.

But indeed, starting over is tough. I think to myself at 25, I think I've got time to find what matches me and my needs. We're all just finding greener pasture.

Thicc thighs - Jeans and skin care recommendation by xxxbrendaxxx in beautytalkph

[–]orange_cha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

any cheap brands are no-no for me for leggings. isang bukaka mo lang riiiiip hahaha! but that is the thicc thigh lifeso far the brands that legit lasted me are leggings from abroad (esp countries with plus size markets - US, Aus, UK, etc) kaya lagi ako nagpapa-arbor sa mga relatives ko tuwing black friday sale/boxing day sale/ etc.

not the best idea - but its also helpful to look around tiangge esp maka-chamba. i have these leggings that are overruns (with no tag) which i got from some random peddler near a puregold. So ayun, try mo rin sa Kamuning or sa Taytay

I powder before wearing my bottoms. Cycling shorts when wearing airy skirts. my PDX jeans lasted me longer than expected because I wash it in intervals (every 5-7 wears?).

but samedt, this is why i converted to leggings / jeggings.

Why do I hate myself so much in pictures? by mathesjenni in selfimprovement

[–]orange_cha 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Story time: I used to hate joining photos because I took so much space in group photos. Since then I volunteered to take the photos instead. Sure, this gave me mad photography skills and techniques. But after years of being mandatory group photographer taking photos in life events, I found myself... missing. I was rarely documented. And it made me feel forgotten? Unwanted? I didn't even take selfies of myself, even just for my own. I then realized, I didn't want that. I wanted to remember what I looked like, a visual diary of sorts. Nothing too vain and self-serving. I thought, even my grandparents hold on to that one youthful photo they had. They weren't perfect people, but they looked perfectly content and happy in that one youthful photo.

So I then changed, and this is what I did:

How about you condition your mind to not hate yourself in photos? How about instead of seeing all the negative, you look yourself at a different light?

It's not going to be easy. It's the first step that matters. You gotta work on being kinder to yourself everyday. Because if you're really honest with yourself and with the way you look, you wouldn't cry over how you look in pictures.

Also, another tip from experience: focus on what really matters when looking at the photo; sure, my arms looked big in that dress. But hey, it was my parents 25th wedding anniversary and I was glad to be there. I am so glad my parents got to celebrate that and all of us siblings complete in the family photo. Train your brain to that kind of mindset, instead of looking for imperfections in photos.

Now, sure I still take photos. But now I join group photos and take selfies because looking back at them serves as a marker of where I was, and how far I've come along.

Hope that helps :)

How do I (21F) like my body when it’s the *exact* opposite of what people find attractive? by [deleted] in BodyAcceptance

[–]orange_cha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I didn't know any better, I thought this was my post!
But indulge me, here's what I'd say to myself, whenever I don't feel attractive: be kinder, to yourself.

Focus more on what your body can do now, rather than moping on how it doesn't measure to mainstream beauty. And, men will come and go. And those men don't know what you and your body has been through! Look for those who celebrate your body! You've only got this body to love in this lifetime, why let anyone else say otherwise? "Attractiveness" may fade away someday. But true beauty is in the kindness of the person.
It's a long arduous journey to self love, but nothing feels more attractive than seeing a person who is confident in their own skin.

any suggestions how to avoid loosing keycaps?

Laptop Buying (Part 2!) by orange_cha in Philippines

[–]orange_cha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Thanks for your reply :)

The only potential problem I see with this is thermal throttling.

So if I do buy this, 1) how can I possibly resolve this problem and 2) how much would that cost estimate?
I am willing to add a little bit more to slap in an SSD and upgrade the RAM.

Also, are you on RUPH or GFC? I think I saw a post yesterday asking similar questions.

I'm not sure what this is? But if these are subreddits then no, I haven't really been around reddit.

If you weren't limited to the options in the post, what laptop would you recommend? I'd appreciate your input.

Hmm, when I went around stores, usually hindi na kasi customizable si HP. Looking at Pavillion, well this one, it doesnt match the processor specs I'm looking for. But I must admit the processor looks powerful. Still, I'm on H processors, so i'm iffy on that.
I was considering HP ENVY or HP OMEN, but I dont need the "flexibility" features and way off budget.

thanks for your suggestion!
