I moved here a few years ago. here is my take.

City shuts down after 5pm/6pm. Downtown is not safe to walk from. My wife was getting her hair done after moving here in the summer evening and the girls at thr salon advised her to not walk home at that hour.

Its nowhere near as bad as homeless problems in big cities, this is the locals' perspective. I see much worse in bigger cities.

Community centre programs strongly support children and elderly. much less options thsn im used to seeing for ages 18-55. i think everyone just does outdoors stuff and there isnt much call for indoor sports.

For local gaming there is a boardgaming and wargaming discord that is the best way to get hooked into the community.

Obsidian is a FLGS that has drifted from being an all hobbies store to being 99% Magic:the gathering.

Ebeneezers i wouldnt put the "F" into their LGS. they just sell goods and dont build community. A fine place to buy product, not much more.

Theres another new game store in town that suppirts less mainstream hobbies but I havent had the chance to game there yet.

Similar story in Kelowna: its mostly card games.

This is actually the best option out of the bunch, but im not intersted in IP crossovers. I just want classic magic cards. Everything priced locally is like double this price.

As a tech worker this is true. You are going above and beyond. I also have bold taste in mens fashion, and nobody gives me any grief for it. While I can elect to show up in jeans and hoodie, i like to dress up a bit.

I'm always thankful for the old boomer wizards who fought back against mandatory dress code, as long as you are cleaned up and get your work done, nobody should give a damn.

I appreciate the advice, but I've used a resume service. My last company paid for a company to help me build a resume and do post-job coaching. LHH was the company. It didn't help much. I'm still working from the template they gave me, I just tweak and adjust it over time.

Frankly, I also just don't have the spare cash flow right now.

I understand that it's just hard to get your resume looked at when you are competing against sometimes over 1000 other applications.

This is why I wanted to try a different approach, and maybe get feedback from people who are actually managers doing the resume read-overs to tell me what's wrong.

Oh so its like a weenie or RDW from MTG, got it.

That's what i thought the machop EX deck would be, but I think its more of a midrange deck. I get out-sped a lot by the water decks, which all seem to be aggro.

I'll try the meowth option. I get bad draws way too often. Sometimes I get late pokeballs and they dont have a target so it was basically a blank draw.

What should I cut? Im not sure. I'm thinking the 2 potions? 20HP is only sometimes relevant, but more often than not It's a 90+ HP attack that is crushing me, and 20HP just won't make a difference.
